Just got started on Billsby a week ago for my side project and it's been a good experience so far. When looking for subscription services I found others were either too complex or too simplistic. Billsby fits nicely in the middle - I was up and running very quickly (hours) but have been able to fiddle around and fine tune things successfully. Support has been friendly and efficient. And, let's face it, being able to transact $50k for exactly nothing makes it a very easy choice!

@garyhilson Thanks Gary! We're thrilled to have you on-board!

Hi Hunters 👋 and thanks to the prolific @chrismessina for the hunt! We've built Billsby to be the most powerful, customizable and easy to integrate subscription billing software, and since we started our beta in January, more than 500 companies have chosen us to simplify their revenue operations. We've been working on Billsby for almost two years and now we're out of beta and thrilled to be sharing our product with the community here. What makes Billsby different to other subscription billing platforms? 🤔 Well, for starters - there's no minimum monthly fee or setup fee to use Billsby, and we've worked really hard to not inhibit the growth of small companies as they're trying to get started and grow. Every Billsby plan includes unlimited products, plans, cycles, subscriptions, customers, teammates, payment gateways, countries, currencies and tax profiles 🤯. We've got global tax support as standard 🗺️, and integrations with Adyen, Authorize.net, Braintree, Checkout.com and Stripe 💵 - with more to come. We've also made Billsby really easy to use and integrate - you can start selling subscriptions with two lines of Javascript embedded into your website - with full account management too - including self-service cancellation and retention, full dunning tools and more . Billsby is also really developer friendly. If you can do it in Billsby, you can probably do it in our API. We also have feature tags 🏷️ which make it easy to handle access control and locked content scenarios, and real-time usage APIs 🧮 so you can sell plans with allowances and bill for them without handling all the data at your end. Finally, we try to be really open and easy to work with. We have friendly and fast support, documentation we don't hide behind a wall, a transparent, public roadmap and the ability to sign up without speaking to an account manager or booking an appointment. We want to be here for you to help your business grow. Putting our money where our mouth is, at the moment we're waiving our revenue share fee on the first $50,000 of transactions you put through Billsby 💰. This is a limited-time offer, but if you sign-up today, you'll lock in your $50k. Our support team also have some Billsby swag to give out 👕 to random new sign-ups today - reach out if you'd like to be considered. The team and I will be hanging out today to answer questions, listen to your feedback and ideas and even just talk subscription billing, MRR and revenue operations.

Nice to see Billsby on PH! Billsby is one of the most robust billing software you're going to find, that is absolutely easy to use and implement within your SaaS. Been following Billsby for a few months now and have seen massive improvements in the number of features, the ease of use of the platform, and innovation on the way your users are able to check out and manage their subscriptions. The most impressive feature I loved is the billing widget that basically allows you to start a checkout process anywhere, and not only that, the user is able to fully manage their billing/membership/subscription with a small click of a button in any of your invoices. Sending boring PDF invoices is definitely a thing of the past, and Billsby is at the forefront of user engagement and putting the user experience first. How can you engage your users within a PDF? Instead, show them an invoice online which loads quick with 1 click, doesn't need any third party software to open, and most importantly, is a freaking doorway for you to engage them and put them back into buying mode. It's a game-changer and if you're a marketer/saas founder, you will be pleasantly surprised at the possibilities. Shout out to the Billsby team, true professionals, extremely helpful in tricky implementation situations and MIGRATIONS (yes, migrating from one billing platform to another is hell, they have a great solution for that). You'll rethink what a billing software should be after you try Billsby. Overall, if you're thinking of going with a billing system like chargebee or recurly, save yourself a headache (and $$$) and try Billsby first. You'll thank me later ;)

@oscar_hernandez3 Thanks for your feedback and support Oscar! Those advanced invoices really are one of the best ways to sell more to customers - particularly if they've got marketing emails switched off!

Hi all! Here someone from the dev team in Billsby! And I would like to share with you our stack of technologies that helped us to deliver this complex project in a record time. For Billsby we created a kind of microservices architecture using Kubernetes, Envoy Proxy, RabbitMQ and gRPC along with other technologies. In terms for data storage, we are currently mainly using PostgreSQL and Apache Cassandra. I think we have an interesting and very trending stack here :-) By the way, I said a kind of microservices architecture because sometimes is difficult to define if a service is really that micro or not for be called like that... If you are wondering about the languages used to develop this project, we are using Go and .Net Core for now. Why Go? Because it's fast and lightweight! Why .Net Core? Because it's easy to use for the more complex services and a very powerful and flexible language for overall cases. Also, we are using Google Cloud Service to host the project in the cloud and avoid any sysadmin headaches. It's been a crazy year, we learnt a lot, we suffered a lot, but we really enjoyed working on this project and we love it. We can proudly say that we have built one of the most affordable and rich in features subscription platform at the moment. If you want to know more about the project and the used technology, I will happy to answer any question! ;-)

@jmpichardo Someone from the dev team ;) meet Juan hunters - our Head of Software Development!

@jmpichardo @mark_howson to complete the response above about the tech stack, frontend wise we tried to keep our self up to date with the latest standard available, we used React 16, Redux and Typescript splitting the complexity into multiple standalone projects. On top of that we develop an internal components library shared across the projects to give us the flexibility of focusing on the business logic.
Mark Howson
@jmpichardo @kinotto88 You guys are writing the sales pitch for me! Open, easy to work with and transparent I said :)
Vito Botta
Hi! The product looks amazing and the offer too tempting! I'm working on a SaaS app for which this would be be perfect. But I'm not 100 ready yet... Can I sign up today and take advantage of the offer in a few weeks?
Mark Howson
@vitobotta Hi Vito! Glad to have you on-board. For anyone reading this after the fact, if the website still says $50,000 when you sign-up, that's what you'll get when you're ready to go live! There's no time limit once you're signed up on spending the money.
James Trimble
Can this provide the same functionality as member stack? I need a lightweight user authentication and subscription management for my project. https://www.memberstack.io/
Mark Howson
@james_trimble Hi James. We're focused on the subscription management side rather than the user authentication side of the equation. If you were open to building your own access control and interfacing with our API, absolutely - feature tags make access control management very easy and powerful - https://www.billsby.com/product/...
Stirz Brands
We are currently set up with BOLD subscriptions and I am going to take a serious look at Billsby. Are you a Shopify Partner?
Mark Howson
@stirzbrands Hi. We're not, but you can absolutely embed Billsby buttons on your Shopify website, and we have a development services division if you need a deeper, or custom integration.
wikku
Signed last week and project is very nice and stable with tons of new features coming. Web and back-office are done with extremely love, you can feel the passion people at Billsby are working on the product.
Mark Howson
@banshie Thanks! We're thrilled to have you on board.
Thiago de Carvalho
How do you compare to PayKickstart?
Mark Howson
@thiagoafram So, for starters, looks like for comparable subscription billing features with PayKickstart (a self-service customer portal, dunning and retention), you're looking at $199 per month before you've made a cent. We fundamentally believe that we should only make money when we're adding value - so we don't have any monthly minimums in our pricing.
Thiago de Carvalho
@mark_howson I'd like to know a comparison feature-wise. In fact, I'm on the $99/m plan with them and it has pretty much everything I need for billing and affiliate system. Whoever's on this kind of plan doesn't care much about paying a monthly fee since we're talking about payments (I don't joke with that). With PKS I don't have to pay a percentage, though, which helps with volume.
Fit Boy
I found a similar subscription management software at https://www.subscriptionflow.com.... They are the best choice for all your subscription management needs, whether it's a renewal or personalized plan. They can help with any problem that may arise during the customer's lifecycle. Customer service is an essential part of any service company and requires thorough insight into every stage of turning leads into sales.
madhu_
@mark_howson Does Billsby integrate with backend accounting systems like Netsuite or Sage Intacct?
Mark Howson
@madhu_ Hi there! Accounting systems are on our roadmap for this year. We're currently planning to start with QuickBooks, Xero and FreeAgent - but we operate an open roadmap model so if another piece of accounting software is valuable to you, you can ask for it and keep track of the progress we've made.
Joey Ferraro
This looks awesome and it seems to have better rates than most of the other providers in the industry. I’ll definitely give this a try.
Mark Howson
@joeyferraro Thanks Joey! We tried to make Billsby as affordable as we could.
Bradley Dittoe
These guys know what they are doing. I’ve looked for a while for a platform like this that offers as many integrations and charges a moderate transaction fee.
Mark Howson
@bradleydittoe Thanks for your support Bradley!
M. Cole Jones
I've just experience a massive headache with my WordPress site that uses WooCommerce and talks to stripe ... my subscribers (which are not even classified as such) are receiving duplicate charges and NO ONE seems to know what's going. If you Billsby can help me clean this up...it's a deal!!
Mark Howson
@mcolejones Drop our support team a line on hello@billsby.com - we can migrate tokens from Stripe so we may be able to help!
Domenico Rossi
Can this be integrated on online stores like Shopify and membership sites like Clickfunnels?
Mark Howson
@domenicorossi Hi Domenico! We already have customers who've added subscription buttons to their Shopify store and we have a full public API and webhooks making it really easy to build whatever integrations you need. Zapier and a range of direct integrations are coming soon.
Luca Nassetti
Super interesting. Do you guys charge a flat fee apart from the transaction fee?
Mark Howson
@lucanassetti Not at all Luca. Just 0.8%. No flat fee, no minimum monthly charges. We believe that we should only make money when you do.
Bradford Hurrell
$50K free trial? That’s an awesome offer. I’ll give this a shot now.
Mark Howson
@bradfordhurrell We like to be generous Bradford! See you on the inside.
Joshua Williams
Looks interesting. Do you guys have a sliding scale for transaction fees based on volume?
Mark Howson
@joshuawilliams We're always open to discussing volume discounts Joshua - typically these would kick in at about $100k of recurring revenue per month.
Christian Rudman
Cool product! Apart from PH, how have you marketed it so far?
Mark Howson
@christian_rudman Thanks Christian! We've got a multi-channel approach to marketing Billsby. You're likely to find us on websites where designers and developers hang out, on software directories like Capterra and G2, and on social networks.
Robin Glegg
Looks very simple to integrate from the demo I saw.
Mark Howson
@monty3 We've had customers go live with Billsby the same day as signing up! I'm really proud of how easy our team has made that experience.
