Safari would be cool but this extension alone might be able to make me convert to Chrome. I had a similar idea couple of months ago but it wasn't this advanced.

The idea is totally amazing in its simplicity. Having about 15-year background of teaching languages behind me, I deeply believe that this way will work effectively for many modern students integrating studying naturally into the process of surfing the net. @myalanska Thanks for the support! We deeply believe in it as well, using it ourselves. We are constantly tweaking the algorithm and adding new stuff. Please let us know all your feedback!
@edelweissting Hey Ting, thanks for being interested in FlipWord. We would love to add more languages! Like Thomas mentioned above, we hand-craft all of our language data. Once we have enough resources, we will add more languages. We are currently running a crowdfunding campaign to do just that, please invest to join us as we grow. Then we can move even faster :D
Love it! Tom and Yinghua, did you guys use this to learn a new language yourselves? Or was the tech derived from your experience learning a new language? I'd be disappointed if you guys tell me you speak English only. :)
@kendrickesq Hey Kendrick, thank you! Yeah, both of us speak Chinese, in addition to English. Thomas extended into advanced Chinese and is relearning his high school Spanish using FlipWord. I'm refreshing my undergrad Japanese. I also taught English and Chinese in both China and America. We are designing the product from both the learner and teacher's views, to make it really effective.
@anushk Hey Anushk! We don't store any info about the pages you visit. We are super sensitive on user privacy, and take it very seriously.
Awesome extension, I've been meaning to learn Spanish for a while. I think this will definitely help with vocab (though less help with grammar). I wish there was a profile page where I could see all the words I've learned and all the coins I've accrued (if there is, I haven't found it- which is another problem).
@ninjinka Hey Thomas! We have a bunch of new features in the works, including grammar. Profile page is future work, but coming :)
This is awesome - as an individual who speaks 2 languages and whose IP address (because of geolocation) often gets mixed between 2 countries - my internet content is always mixed between English & Spanish, and I can definitely say this is a good way to learn. Hopefully I can use your application to learn other languages - definitely see long term in this - congratulations!

@reeset I'm simply stating the learning benefits of reading content in two languages which has happened to me for years before using your application. I'm now starting to use your application to learn new languages :)
It reminds me LinguaLeo, which is popular in Russia and which has similar extension for browser. I tried to use Flipword and then uninstalled it because there are too little languages to choose from. I am learning french now, and there were only spanish and chineese.
@cherrywins Hey Ekaterina, We actually currently have 8 languages, the drop-down is a scroll-list. LinguaLeo is a direct translator, ours has an education system built in.

No way. This is brilliant... I've been in Sweden for 4 years now and the running gag in my team is that I don't speak swedish. This is about to change...

@reeset Since I'm looking for Danish, it would be great if you add a field where you ask which languages you want on the website and a email field so when you add a language, those who select it receives a notification by email :)

Great job! I just installed the extension and started learning straight from LinkedIn. After attempting to learn Spanish and Italian on Duolingo I think that this might be an easier - more realistic - solution for me. I would love to write about it on my blog, thestoryofmylife.com.

I remember seeing this years ago, and thinking it was a brilliant idea. Then you won the prestigious Cozad competition, continued development, and are now at the top of Product Hunt. Amazing! And the app itself is such a wonderful expression of the original vision. Well done; onwards and upwards!
