@laurits_just Awesome lets go!
This is exactly what the digital business space needed! Not every founder wants (or fits) the VC path, so having an alternative like @Flippa Invest is huge. Excited to see how this plays out—props to the team for making it happen!

Great! Flippa is now partially an investment platform, from now on provides easy access to diverse assets, automates transactions, reduces risk with portfolio management, and enables passive income growth—making investing simpler and more profitable. Many of us wanted this and its finally here!

Off to a fast, high quality start. The deals loaded in for investment include a variety of businesses, across a range of investment levels and include very high quality founders.
Excited about this!

Much needed product. Who do you guys compete with?
BitsForDigits
@ednevsky thank you! Appreciate the question.
We indirectly compete with @angellist except their platform targets mostly moonshot pre-seed startups while Flippa Invest supplies growing, bootstrapped/Seed/Series A businesses with growth capital to scale their operations.
Similarly we somewhat indirectly compete with crowdfunding platforms like @wefunder although they're built for B2C and community-led businesses raising small cheque sizes from lots of friends and family in personal social circles. Meanwhile we at Flippa Invest offer access to our own network of 80,000+ accredited investors that cut bigger cheques.
Finally we sometimes compete with lenders of non-equity financing like @Founderpath and other revenue-based invoice factoring providers, but founders often don't have to choose between raising debt or doing equity fundraising and can do both.

Awesome to see this!
As a small indie game developer I wonder if this will work for people that need less than $50k?
Great job Flippa
Flippa has become a haven for scams, making it a risky place for anyone considering investing in websites. You’d be better off putting your money into assets like crypto or real estate—investments that offer far better appreciation and reliability.
Flippa’s marketplace is filled with troubling trends: websites often cease operations within a year or two of being sold. Buyers are drawn in by inflated or false revenue claims, only to watch their investments plummet soon after. By the time these scams come to light, the damage is done, and the site is often dead in the water.
One example involves a health niche site that was bought for $10,000 and later sold for $16,000. Though it appears profitable, the seller viewed it as a failed venture, citing minimal growth and a disappointing final sale price. This shows how even "profitable" sites on Flippa often fail to deliver genuine value.
Personally, I saw a website purchased for $25,000 a year ago, only to find it now blank or with an expired domain, making it useless for resale. These cases serve as a stark reminder that thorough research and caution are essential when navigating Flippa to avoid falling prey to deceptive practices and significant financial losses.
Personal opinion- Invest wisely; Flippa’s not worth the risk.
Flippa Invest sounds fancy, but let’s not ignore the core problem - 'trust'. Flippa pitching a fundraising platform to connect startups with 80,000 accredited investors, yet Flippa failed to protect basic buyers and sellers on your own marketplace.
Flippa claim to be a “world-leading marketplace,” but how does that title hold up when the platform is flooded with scam listings, questionable sellers, and support staff who either ignore complaints or protect bad actors? And now Flippa want people to trust Flippa with capital raises up to $1M?
Let’s be real, before chasing investor credibility, maybe Flippa first need to fix the credibility you’ve already lost. Flippa must clean up the house before it invites more people in.
