Hi PH! π¦
Marketing is tough. Me and @wilsonsquared are here to help you.
Whether you're a marketing or technical co-founder, there's so much advice but very little of it is actionable for early stage founders.
You read inspirational posts about scaling to 100,000s of users, watch theoretical concepts on YouTube, review spammy tweets, or hear the words "experiments" "reporting" "creative", but don't know how to get started.
Introducing First 100 Users V2
100 marketing ideas, broken down by channel, and each with simple step-by-step instructions to show you how deliver and report on them. Now including the actual tools you need to use.
Broken down by key channels, complexity, and time commitment.
Tons of great ideas and tools to help you quickstart your marketing journey! Olly and Wilson did a great job revamping their website and adding new content.
If you're thinking about launching a new project soon, First 100 Users should definitely be your best friend πͺ
Congrats on the launch, @helloitsolly and @wilsonsquared!
I have a feeling that it's not only for the first 100 users but also for the first 500, and first 1000 users.
Very nice and helpful marketing ideas, I'll try them for my product even if we have already crossed 1000 users.

Hi Makers,
I liked the simplicity and clarity you have served for people who aim to get their first 100 users using the process and tactics you have curated and served. I hope to see soon the same for first 1000 users.
Excellent work bundling all this actionable advice, @helloitsolly & @wilsonsquared! This is an invaluable resource for me as a technical founder with no experience doing Marketing
Whoop whoop @helloitsolly! Congrats on launching!
JTBD is the biggest marketing pain point I see for indiehackers and founders. This takes so much of the guesswork out of it so that they can focus on the good stuff and not the fluff.
Love this, it comes at a great time for us to as we are about to launch our own product very shortly, and getting those
first few users is always daunting. @joanne_hurleyv1 check it out!
Excellent idea!π I'll definitely try these, and I will share my experiences π
I want to give some feedback. Adding quick filters on the see all ideas listing, like paid growth, free growth, etc., could improve to finding the right idea (There is a similar quick filter pattern on the Tools page). Applying the same pattern to the Marketing Ideas can be better and also keeps consistency.
Also, the newsletter banner is breaking some things. It covers the header menu, and it is hard to see the "X" button to close it.
There are two newsletter signup areas which are the hero and the banner. It's repeating itself, and there are other ways to do that, like reducing it to one or reorganizing the positions.
Keeping simple the "ideas' covers" improves the scannability and reduces the crowded look. Right now, It's a little bit hard to take a quick glance. Also, the titles repeat on the cards (Text on the image and card title). Removing the titles from the cards and increasing the font size of titles can be a good start.
@durmus_kavcioglu Thank you - awesome feedback. I've made some changes
1. We added quick filters to the All Ideas page
2. We moved the newsletter banner to the bottom
3. I increased the font size on the All Ideas page
4. We are going to review a better format for image covers
