@alexadelman Hi Alex we connect to JIRA actually now right through our Zapier integration, along with several hundred apps including Salesforce, Gmail, etc. We are investing a lot in the routing and custom integrations space. Would love to chat about how it would be practical in your team's setting and learn how we can optimize Fireflies for your team. Are you on any other communication platforms other than Slack?

@harrisonhuntr Hi Harrison, great question! We're training our AI to understand team-specific and user-specific tasks. It turns out that teams identify different types of things as tasks, as do individuals. The same phrase that is a task for one team is not a task for another. To understand what is and what isn't a task, we track our accepted and declined suggestions as well as the manually created tasks to determine the qualities of what makes up a task per team and per user. At scale, this looks like an ultra personal AI that has learned not only what action items you need to do, but also how you prefer to do them.

@gosathya General NLP isn't quite there yet in terms of allowing a bot to hold an interesting conversation for more than a few minutes. The most compelling use cases we have seen dive really deep into a particular niche where you can handle a much larger percentage of what a user may ask. These more specific bots are much better at performing what they promise. We took this principle in mind when creating Fireflies and really focused on accounting for the everyday items that can be automated. Taking it a step further, we don't want our users to chat with Fireflies at all, but rather we want Fireflies to be smart enough to perform context driven actions in just one click.

@ahansabharwal Glad to hear you have been enjoying the chrome version of Fireflies, you'll be excited about our Slackbot!! Krish and I have sort-of become reliant on Fireflies to catch the promises that we are making across our 20+ Slack communication channels. We've also thought long and hard about AI, and our primary focus is to implement it in a way that is actually useful for our users. It's so incredibly important to find the right balance between being smart/context-relevant, while avoiding being an annoyance to your users. We're excited about our Slackbot as it offers a very seamless method of understanding that an AI is watching your back. Communication is critical for teams and can really be the driver for a successful business. We've designed Fireflies to help teams communicate more efficiently, opening up more time that goes towards making the decisions that will impact your business.

@omskillet Sweet this exactly the reason behind the suggested and automated actions from Slack. It helps us more easily tackle work when it's only a click away. Today, it takes several files searches, emails, and digging into past work items before actually performing the action. Right now we want to go deep into the Google ecosystem with our automation layer. Hoping to work very closely with them around, Gmail, GCalendar, GDrive, and Contacts. We are already starting to go beyond just providing deep links to these platforms. Our goal is to autopopulate relevant information into these systems and also give suggestions while your communicating in Slack. Google has an immense work and knowledge graph that we want to tap into more effectively so that you don't have to constantly shuffle between your work and communication channels!

@will_jack Thanks for the words and your activity with the bot, Will. We really put a strong emphasis on running unobtrusively in the background while still being able to capture and execute on the things that matter to you. AI is ultimately a tool, and we believe that it should be complementary to what you do in a team context. We all know how cluttered team messages can be, and though they are super convenient, we often lose work items in our communications streams. As Fireflies grows and learns with your team, it will become an ultra-convenient resource for tracking work and automating tasks.

@michael_n Hi Michael, thanks for the relevant question that some people might be thinking about in the backs of their mind. There are a few tools out there for doing Project Management and work tracking. We've had the opportunity to work with over a 100+ teams in understanding their core needs and believe we have some unique insights on the market and the problems that they face. What we deduced was that the existing solutions typically have slash commands and other complicated querying structures making it very hard to actually use on a regular basis. We are eliminating all that from a pure experience point of view. If there was any similarity with tools like Busybot and Kyber, it ends with task creation part, and our goal is to have a seamless approach here. In terms of the differentiators we can look at 3 major areas. One is that we are working closely with systems like Trello and Zapier to integrate into existing workflows of teams. Having that flexibility to autoroute tasks where ever you need is essential for teams that don't want to change their existing work tracking making us an important choice to gel with the ecosystem of tools that they already use. The second and more important reason is that we are able leverage NLP, Machine Learning, and an provide an overall knowledge graph. This is after all an intelligent bot and we want to justify the AI in the name. We fundamentally see, Fireflies getting more helpful overtime with autosuggested tasks. This is quite a difficult area and is a core competency in terms of making Fireflies truly adaptive. On top of that, we classify and help you take action across different workflows whether it's making calls, sending emails, creating calendar events etc. This area in particular gives us the opportunity to use our intelligence layer to go above and beyond what any other project management solution delivers today. Launching on Slack was really a huge motivation coming from our chrome users who wanted to have this integrated into their team's workflow.
