Software is becoming disposable. Is that a good thing?

Hey folks!

At Fine we're experimenting with a new kind of build mindset:

Don’t launch. Don’t maintain. Just solve.

That’s what we're calling disposable software: apps that are made for a task, a person, or a weekend… and then forgotten.

It might sound pointless, but when you can build in 30 seconds, permanence becomes optional.

We wrote a piece about how this changes entrepreneurship at the edges. Not billion-dollar unicorns, but maybe 10k tiny wins.

Would love to hear from folks building small, strange, or spontaneous things. Anyone doing this too?

It’s way too expensive to build for disposable software right now. However if vibe coding gets easier, I can see it becoming a thing.
