Fine Workflows allows you to automate repetitive, mundane dev tasks that AI can take over, freeing you up to work on high-level stuff. Catch errors, improve CI/CD and even review PRs.
☀️ Good morning Product Hunt! 🏹
Today we’re launching AI Workflows, the next step in making the development lifecycle more efficient using AI. It takes everything you’ve seen AI do for developers so far and makes it practical and proactive to help your work day. 🎊
*These are just a few examples:*
✅Automate code reviews: Fine can automatically review pull requests, suggesting improvements, adding missing documentation, and ensuring code quality standards are met.
✅Enhance error handling: When a production error occurs, Fine can perform a comprehensive root cause analysis, providing your team with valuable insights in minutes.
✅Streamline CI/CD: If a pipeline fails, Fine can analyze the error, suggest fixes, and even implement them automatically.
✅Improve feature instrumentation: Automatically add analytics events to new features, ensuring you're always capturing the data you need.
✅Accelerate issue triage: Fine can analyze new issues, add relevant context, and suggest potential solutions or similar past issues.
We’re aiming to make AI more useful than just building a basic web application from scratch. Whilst 8 year-olds building games in 6 minutes is cool to see, it’s not really helpful for our day-to-day. We’re changing that.
Fine is what you need if you already have a codebase, a history of commits and issues that you’re working on. By creating a knowledge graph called Atlas, based not only on your code but also your issue management (e.g. Linear) and error management (e.g. Sentry), Fine gets to know your code inside-out and can solve real problems. 💻
PLUS Fine is based in the cloud and mobile friendly. Imagine your assistant getting work done whilst you're in meetings and then checking in with you, getting your new instructions and continuing to work. That's Fine.
You can try Fine out for free with a 7-day trial and after that it’s an all-inclusive monthly subscription, with no need for your own tokens for LLMs or any extras.
Software development is more competitive than ever before. Get ahead of the game by integrating AI workflows to speed up your development lifecycle and improve your code quality, today.
A big thanks to @benln for hunting us!
Such a great tool to help smaller teams take care of the chores and tech debts. I've seen a few like Fine launched in the past, they all seem to be able to do something along the lines of taking care of dependencies, improve CICD, improve loggings or error handlges, and even fix bugs which is the hardest part.
I'm curious what sets Fine apart from others?
Congrats on the launch @dror_wayne and team!
Congrats on the launch! Seems like the tool can do some things that other tools sometimes specialize in / focus on (for instance assisting in reviewing PRs), so for someone who wants to try this out what would you say is the #1 use case or most powerful thing to try out?
@itamarro There are so many use cases it's hard to pick one! I'd start with choosing the one task you repeat the most in your day to day. Perhaps code reviews? Perhaps daily reports? Everything is possible :)
AI Workflows sounds like a game-changer for making development more efficient! The ability to automate tasks like code reviews, error handling, and CI/CD fixes is exactly what teams need to stay focused on building instead of getting bogged down in maintenance. I’m particularly impressed by the root cause analysis and automatic feature instrumentation—those could save so much time.
For anyone who’s given Fine a try, how has it impacted your workflow so far? I’d love to hear how it’s helping your team tackle the day-to-day challenges of development!
Getting rid of repetitive tasks could help engineers to speed up their time to market for products, greatly impacting everything. The automated workflow on Fine AI worth looking into - I'll tell my dev friends to check it out. Congrats on the launch @dror_wayne 🤠
@ali_eskandari Thanks Ali. Indeed we're trying to help startups in particular, who are operating on borrowed time and limited budgets, to get their products to a competitive level with small dev teams. Thanks for the support!
Kudos on launching Fine AI Coding Workflows! 🚀 The ability to automate code reviews, streamline CI/CD, and enhance error handling is fantastic. How do you envision these features transforming the daily routines of developers?
@andreea_staicu I think it's going to take a lot of the time-consuming tasks off developers' plates so they can focus on the high-level stuff. In many ways, it's like a lawyer being handed a well-researched brief by their associate. Armed with the right information, you as the developer can execute well and fast. Our beta-testers reported that their favourite use cases were having PRs reviewed before senior devs review them and having potential solutions to bugs presented to them as soon as the bug is created.
The automation capabilities are impressive. Fine AI helps catch bugs early and improves overall code quality. It’s amazing how seamless the workflow integration is with my existing tools. I can't imagine coding without it now.
Morning Dror! Fine AI Coding Workflows sounds incredibly useful for developers. Automating code reviews and error handling will save so much time. How does Fine handle different coding standards or preferences across various projects?
@web3_antivirus Hey Alex! We do it in two ways:
1. Atlas, our knowledge graph, automatically learns your style and tries to repeat it.
2. We allow our users to define their own guidelines, maximizing the similarity to expected output
Big thumbs up to @dror_wayne for launching Fine AI Coding Workflows! 🚀 The ability to automate code reviews and error handling is game-changing. The cloud-based approach is particularly impressive. Curious about how Fine deals with sensitive data and proprietary code—what kind of security measures are in place?
Congratulations on the launch of Fine AI Coding Workflows! Automating repetitive tasks and enhancing CI/CD processes with AI is a significant leap in productivity for developers. How do you plan to further integrate AI for more complex code optimizations and security checks in future updates?
Hey Dror,
I'm particularly interested in the code review automation. How does it compare to human reviews in terms of catching subtle issues or understanding context?
How flexible is the system in adapting to different coding styles or project-specific guidelines?
Congrats on the launch!
@kyrylosilin Answering on behalf of the technical team here :)
It's very flexible - in fact, you can define your own PR guideline directly in the workflow definition. Tell the AI agent what to focus on and we'll take it from there!
Wow, this sounds like a total game-changer for developers! 🎉 Automating code reviews and error handling? Yes, please! 🙌 Kudos to @dror_wayne and the team for making our lives so much easier. Can't wait to give Fine a try! 💻✨
Fine Workflows is an impressive tool that automates tedious dev tasks, allowing for more focus on higher-level work! I'm curious—will future updates introduce customizable AI behavior, letting users tailor automation rules specific to their team’s workflow preferences?
@annaho2000 Hey Anna - for sure! You can already do this in most of our workflows with the open text field. The more specific and tailor-made you write the instructions, the better the results.
Absolutely game-changing! 🚀 Fine's AI Workflows are set to revolutionize the development lifecycle. The ability to automate code reviews, enhance error handling, and streamline CI/CD is exactly what's needed to make developers' lives easier and more productive. The knowledge graph concept, Atlas, sounds like a powerhouse that integrates everything from code to issue management seamlessly. Plus, the mobile-friendly cloud-based approach means work can continue even during meetings. Kudos to the team for such an innovative solution! Can't wait to try it out and see the impact on our productivity. 🙌 #Upvoted @dror_wayne
