Feather helps you build stronger online relationships and leverage those relationships to amplify the messages you care about. Spend less time on Twitter, build stronger relationships, and get better results.
Awesome! *_* Congrats on the launch! And thanks for sharing your story! ^_^ I just have mentioned that I must pay more attention on my Twitter profile, so I am sure this tool will be more than useful! ^__^
@anab Thanks so much Ana! Social media definitely doesn't provide much beyond vanity metrics unfortunately. But if you know who in your network cares about the stuff you care about, you can achieve outsized results. Really appreciate all of your support!
πHey Leo! Congratulations on the launch dude. I stumbled on your tweet about it on the bird app. Amazing work, feather encapsulates what social engagement should really be prioritizing.
Awesome product
This product is the result of a long journey. It started with a blog post that went viral for all the wrong reasons. That led me to quit social media for a few months as I tried to understand the forces at play.
I ended up leaving my job to pursue my first startup, which failed because I had no clue what it meant to build a product from scratch, much less a company. As I fumbled around trying to figure out what I was doing, I realized that I was trying to rely too heavily on Twitter, but I couldn't predict my growth, everything that I thought should work didn't, and I just had a really rough time of everything.
Then I started building Feather because I noticed a need for a CRM on Twitter. I started building a more traditional CRM, but then I realized quickly that there was an opportunity for something different, something that could make using Twitter a lot easier, a lot more rewarding, and a lot more predictable, and that's when Feather really came to be what it is today.
The main goal of Feather is to help you build stronger relationships by giving you a way to more easily focus on people. That's done via subscriptions. You can subscribe to 1 or more people on either a weekly or daily cadence, ensuring that you keep up to date with them. One of the insights I had was that I was missing about 80% of the tweets from the people I wanted to build a strong relationship with. And this is healthier than turning on the notification bell.
The second goal of Feather is to let you build a media platform from the people around you. This is a cooperative approach to social media, allowing you to inform the people close to you about which tweets are important and need amplified, and doing so in a way that focuses their attention on your message.
These two main features are the result of studying many different types of Twitter accounts and strategies. They have really helped me meet some incredible people on Twitter and completely change my trajectory.
The tools are free to use. The paid part of the app includes the analytics that track how much boost your amplified tweets get. You also get a premium subscription to my blog, How To Scale Yourself, which will give you tips on how to really maximize the value of your social networks.
I hope it makes your Twitter experience easier and more enjoyable the way it did mine!
@leo_guinan the goals you outlined are beautiful and a very healthy approach to growing an audience while nourishing from the relationship with people around.
i'm stoked at this distinction between social & media as Leo puts it. in this ultra connected world, i'm struggling to follow up on & build the relationships that matter to me and vice versa.
so i'm betting on feather to help me know & grow my network in a way that's mutually beneficial to everyone in it β₯οΈπ₯ after all your network is your networth
If you want to hear me talk about Feather and my passion behind it, I recorded a Twitter Space and got into a lot of the thoughts driving me. https://twitter.com/reddy2go/sta...
Absolutely love the concept of Feather and am so excited to use it for my products and for my client's launches. SM needs a community upgrade, and this is so it!
Congrats @leo_guinan!
@diana_sfera Yes, there are some paid features. Right now, there are 2 paid options. the first is $5/month and includes access to an analytics dashboard that provides insights into how effective your boosts are. You also get a premium subscription to my blog https://howtoscaleyourself.com. There's also a community tier for $10/month, which will give you tools to turn your community into a media outlet and amplify the voices of members in your community (that feature is launching next week)
