Analyze thousands of files - docs, images, videos, and more. Use advanced agentic analysis to surpass basic AI tools, save time, cut chaos, and boost team productivity effortlessly.
We’re excited to launch Fast.io, built by the MediaFire founders (Derek and me) to solve a massive problem plaguing today's AI tools: they can’t handle large-scale data or keep up with your team’s needs. Most AI is built for solo users - it stumbles over a few files, forgets everything when the chat ends, and leaves your team’s insights scattered across dead-end conversations. Fast.io changes that.
The Problem
Current LLM and AI analysis tools fall short. They’re capped at 20-30 files or stuck with basic RAG search, leaving SMBs struggling to unlock insights from their growing datasets. Your team’s knowledge is scattered, and existing solutions can’t keep up.
❌ Limits: Most tools fail beyond a few dozen files or pages - useless for real datasets. ❌ Basic Search: Simple RAG implementations can’t handle complex analysis or large-scale data.
❌ Document-Only Focus: Content comes in many formats; video, audio, and images often provide relevant context but aren't well supported, especially at scale.
❌ Knowledge Reset: Analyzing data is only a starting point; you are constantly learning and adding new knowledge, insights, and background.
The Solution
Fast.io is an AI hub built for SMBs to centralize and analyze large sets of multimodal data and save learned insights. Our agentic tools improve the more you use them.
✅ Analyze at Scale: Analyze thousands of files simultaneously, breaking past basic tools' limits in a team-focused multiplayer environment.
✅ Build your Knowledge: Your interesting analysis results and insights can be saved back into your knowledge set as Notes; these are pieces of knowledge that become part of your dataset, so you don't have to repeat the same knowledge each time you start a new chat.
✅ Structure Unstructured Data - Automatically extract metadata from your files - like contract value, dates, and keywords - to organize and categorize your data effortlessly.
✅ Agentic Analysis: Go beyond basic search with AI that uncovers patterns, trends, and answers across massive datasets.
✅ Any File Type: Upload and analyze documents, images, videos, audio, and beyond - unlock insights from all your data.
✅ Simple but Powerful: Our product is backed by best-in-class cloud storage. Our team model ensures simplicity, straightforwardness, and high security, and our integrated data rooms allow you to easily send and receive data with internal and external collaborators using the same AI tools.

Congrats on the launch! The idea of analyzing thousands of files effortlessly is fantastic, and I’m already hooked. Looking forward to trying this with the JFK files!
@contact_umair Therein lies the trick, so to say. Our agent tries to break down the question to get to the meat of the problem and generate great context. As far as the verbosity of the answer, we actually have support for various "agent" personalities that can respond in a number of ways or with varying levels of detail. Ideally, though, it just "works," and it's always a "work in progress."
Key features really depend on your use case. For me, the key value proposition is analyzing contracts/legal docs against terms, policies, whitepapers, etc., and then saving those results back into my cloud so that when the contract is up for renewal, all that historical context is a starting point.
Hey @tom_langridge it's always a pleasure to see what products you and @dereklabian! Congrats on the launch and Fast feels like a natural extension of your expertise and background.
Super pumped to see Fast out in the world and excited to see how the community embraces it!
@bengillin Thank you, Ben. That means a lot coming from you. I'd love to get your thoughts on the product. Check out the free trial and let me know what you think. I think it would be great for your creative projects. Maybe even help you come up with some new ideas!
@caleb_foster1 Hi Caleb. Yeah, we have a real-time multiplayer UI, meaning that you can actually see other people's mouse cursors on the page as they're working with files and chats as well. Plus, you can join other people's AI chats if they're public and respond to the AI alongside your co-workers.
@emily_hernandez3 Hi, Emily. That's a great idea! But, no visual summaries just yet. We do offer a great metadata browser that allows you to see the data within your files as yourself while working with the AI agent on it.
@samuel_briskar Thank you! Yes! You get it. It's seriously a game changer for people who have more than 30 files or documents with lots of pages to analyze. There's literally no other way to do it.
@nicholas_anderson0 As long as it's a document, image, video, or audio file, (some kind of renderable content) the systems will probably handle it well. I guess the honest answer is it depends on how unconventional or old the file format is, but for the most part, I think we should handle it.
@arianna_wright Great question, Ariana. Our product goes through multiple cycles of research on your data and can also cross-references with public data on the web. This way we're able to give a better, more contextual response than any of the other mainstream LLMs we'll be able to provide.
@emma_campbell3 Thank you for the kind words, Emma. I'll pass them along to the team. Yes. The AI initially automatically tailors itself to your needs based on the details that you provide about your organization and workspace that you're working in, as well as your own role and profile. In the near future, you'll be able to customize the agent's responses and agentic behaviors as well.
This is an amazing idea. Can this tool integrate with existing project management software to help seamlessly incorporate insights into team workflows?
@emily_garcia5 Hey Emily. We have an integration system already available in our API, but we haven't implemented it in the frontend just yet. So much to do! Anyway, the answer to your question is "it's coming soon"!
@daniel_reed3 Hi, Dan Neal. That's a great question. We have more details on the topic of security available on our website, but suffice it to say, we follow all the best practices including but not limited to:
Industry-standard encryption for data in transit using TLS 1.3 (where supported by client systems)
AES encryption for data at rest with organization-level encryption keys
Continuous security monitoring and threat detection
Congrats to the team—this is such a needed tool. I really like being able to work through large amounts of data without running into limits, and the ability to save insights back into the dataset is super helpful. Nice job!
@todd_faulk1 Thanks Todd! Yeah, it's been quite a lift to get to where we are today. Let us know what you think. I'd love to hear your feedback on the product if you run into any problems or if you have any ideas for how we can improve it. This is just our first version and there's lots more to do!
The idea of agentic analysis is fantastic. Can you share how it sorts out the valuable insights from the noise when sifting through such a huge array of files?
@miss_tee Absolutely. It all starts when you import content into Fast.io. Every file that's uploaded is analyzed and turned into structured data in the form of embeddings, summaries, metadata, and stored securely in each one of your workspaces.
When you ask a question of our AI agent, Ripley, it first comes up with a plan, then Executes on its plan, doing things like searching through your files, reviewing summaries and metadata, and searching the web for more insights and guidance. It can go through multiple rounds of this, especially on large datasets, to ensure that it's giving you the highest quality answer when it responds. This all happens in a matter of seconds, typically. You can think of it like dozens of assistants running off to go get you the answers you need and coming back to compile the best quality response to your question.
This is incredibly powerful but I’d love to know how much training or onboarding teams will need to really get the hang of it. Tools like this can sometimes come with a steep learning curve.
@tabbunuru I think it's pretty simple to use, but maybe I'm biased. We've designed a lot of consumer-oriented UIs over the years, so we tried to make it as simple as possible. It works just like your typical cloud storage system, but with an AI agent on the side that can work with the data. A lot of the magic happens behind the scenes when files are uploaded, like them being turned into vector embeddings and metadata for the AI to hook into.

What an amazing app! Being able to upload all my files and then chat with the built-in LLM about them is a game-changer. It effortlessly pulls out exactly what I need, even when the information is spread across multiple documents and media. And saving an AI response? Just a few clicks, and it's stored as a markdown file back into my files. This is going to be incredibly useful for both work and personal projects!
@gabesoli Thanks, Gabe. We worked really hard on this one, and we're all super excited to put it out in wild. Obviously, this is just our first version, and there's lots more to do to make it even more amazing but I'm super proud of what we're launching today.
Loving Fast.io so far—super fast uploads, easy team sharing, a clean, intuitive interface, and AI, very cool. It’s made managing files way less of a headache. Curious though: how does Fast.io handle version control or file history?
@mr_megiddo Great question. We have file versioning that allows you to see the file history and rollback files to previous versions. And we also have a chain of custody that allows you to see the relevant activity and events that happen to files over time.
