Personally I love the product idea. But here is some frank feedback. You should probably provide features beyond what a standard social media channel dose.
Also as a user I see a limited value (not enough to warrant a separate app) for either the user or the worker in just saying thanks. Rather as a user I would like to interact with healthcare workers on a deeper level. See their difficulties record any of their experiences because these can be historic accounts. Maybe even provide services is these difficult times. These are things outside normal functionality for a standard social media platforms.
But overall I love'd to work on the concept, depending on the features that your planning as these features are timeless additions. As I plan to add similar COVID-19 related features in my app.

After talking to Doctors and Nurses across the country, we heard they so appreciate the kind words of thanks for their profession regardless of the risks involved. We decided to do something about it and be as inclusive as possible to acknowledge those on the frontline. Please add your voice as your words will carry meaning for months to come, especially when the potential for PTSD can begin given all that frontline folks have gone through.
This is such a beautiful and timely message and project. Gratitude matters all the time, but especially right now while so many are giving in herculean ways to support the rest of us. Love this! Beautiful work from a wonderful team devoted to spreading kindness ❤️

Whether it is a friend or family member or perhaps someone you have never met face to face before we all have interacted with or know someone who is out there today working on the frontlines to keep us healthy, feed, safe and our keep economy going. The awesome team at KOYA has built essentially KIND because they wanted to scream THANK YOU from the rooftops and at the same time create a super simple way to say not only thank you in your local community but to scale that thanks around the world to ALL the essential workers out there during these unprecedented times. @caryn___ What a beautiful idea. Thank you for putting this together! As a user, do you get to specify who sees/receives a video you record/upload? Or is it distributed to a broad group for you?
@benmorrison Thank you so much for your encouragement + kind words!!! I truly appreciate it! The user gets to choose between 9 categories of frontline/essential workers (one of the categories being art/poems/etc that you can upload. #supporttheartist). From there, we review the video and make sure it goes into the category that the user specified. If there was no specification we put it in "other heroes!" Great Q!
Love this! Great team. Great product. If you're looking for a way to give back to essential workers, this is the way to go.

In recent years, I've been tremendously saddened by the increase in animosity across society and political lines...we don't have heros anymore, only villians.
This is a refreshing reminder that there are real heros who work their tails off in service and they deserve our appreciation and support. The world needs more of this. Thank you, for giving us an outlet to thank them!
