Equals is a full featured spreadsheet with SQL, JavaScript, and Python scripting built in. Write custom scripts to automatically import data from any database or API. Work with your data from the comfort of a spreadsheet that works just like Excel.
Hey hunters! Bobby here 👋 and I’m very excited to introduce one of the biggest new concepts we’ve added to Equals.
Equals originally came from the simple insight that the spreadsheet is the best way to work with data. That’s especially true whenever you have to do some sort of manipulation of your data, which is almost always!
However, in today’s world, analysis begins not only with a spreadsheet, but also with where and how you get your data. And one unfortunate reality is that our data is just all over the place - in Google Analytics, Intercom, Mixpanel, Stripe, Salesforce, Hubspot, SQL databases, and internal tools. As a result, putting together analysis that pulls from various data sources is a manual nightmare.
That’s why we’ve built Equals, and why we’re launching Import Scripts today. With Import Scripts you can easily connect Equals, a full featured spreadsheet, to anything that has an API. Within Equals you can write JavaScript and Python to easily import or update data. Check out our 2 minute demo and watch me build a simple funnel analysis that pulls from Google Analytics, Intercom, and Stripe.
We’re hard at work building native integrations for Equals. As of today we connect with any SQL database, Salesforce, Stripe, Plaid, and Quickbooks. However, we know we may never be able to build all the integrations you might want, which is why we’ve given you the power to build your own.
We’re building the fastest and simplest way for startups to work with their data, and Import Scripts is a big step in enabling Equals to fit into any startup’s data stack.
Bobby and the team at Equals.
@bobbypinero Two very different roles like analysts and coders can easily collaborate in the same spreadsheet, such a cool concept.
Congrats on the launch! 🏆
I guess i'm confused why I would pay 250/month for this over free Pandas in a Jupyter Notebook? is there some standout feature im missing @bobbypinero ?
This is an excellent addition to Equals, and will be a huge help for teams that need to clean/process data in Python, grab data from external APIs, or even pull from internal APIs!
