Influence — Influencer management & tracking for eCommerce
Featured

Influence is an influencer campaign management tool that measures and ranks influencer campaigns based on sales conversion rate and not just overall post engagement.

Great tooling solving a real problem within influencer marketing! Is it possible to draw average conversion rate insights for influencers before a collaboration? e.g. The average conversion rate based from their existing engagement rate?
surgieboi
@lachlankirkwood Not unless you were already using Elliot for those collaborations. However, Elliot's Influence feature allows brands and brand marketers to quickly optimize campaign spend per influencer to avoid draining budgets with influencers that are not converting product sales.

@sergio_villasenor Early adopter of Elliot all the way to you guys becoming a Stripe Verified Partner a few weeks ago. But in my opinion the $99/month is VERY steep. The same services are after all completely free for GumRoad or any number of other platforms. Also regarding pricing: I have looked high and low and nowhere in the website or FAQs is there any mention of the fees. I had to find out by trial and error that every product you create for example has a charge of 0.10c. Its not a lot but I created a few products just to try things out and soon enough my balance had decreased. I tried thinking why and then did some more product creation to confirm my hypothesis, and indeed this was the reason. But I still dont know for example how much you charge on TOP of that. Is there a platform fee every time someone places an order? If so how much? 2.9%+30c or 2.9% plus something else. How about multiple users? And payouts? I understand that this is still very early stage(most of your FAQs BTW are empty. See "Navigating the Dashboard" section by Brittany O'Sheen for example) but PRICING is kind of a big deal. It is easily the number 1 or 2 feature any user would want to know prior to signing up. And one last thing: https or SSL encryption site-wise is a must not a luxury for an e-commerce site, nay PLATFORM. So it is disconcerting to see that the main site, the knowledge base, etc are not secured. Sure the back-end is but hacks occur from the places you least expect it. I LOVE the concept. And this is why I took the time and effort to write this. I am sure that you will take these points into account and address these issues in the most important order. Start with the pricing details. Good luck Sergio and the Team!

Pros:

1. Dead simple integration. 2. Offline and online capabilities.

Cons:

1. No clear pricing info. 2. Very expensive $99/month for affiliates (free in GumRoad). 3. SECURITY: lack of system wide SSL encryption.

@john_vonroth Thank you for this, it's some of the most constructive feedback that we have received on Elliot to-date. Regarding the SSL, no excuse there and we have since resolved the points that you called out. Specifically, HTTPS'ing our Intercom help desk and static landing page. As for pricing, we have added it back; however, are A/B testing it as it did get mixed reviews which is why it had been removed since previously launching Elliot's core platform in late April. With regards to GumRoad, we are 100% fine being more expensive as an "Affiliates" feature than every one else. That is because sellers using our "Basic" platform, which varies from "Enterprise" already get insane amounts of value add. Moreover, we only pass through the standard processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30, without any additional fees per order. "Basic" also gets fully localized checkout pages; including: currency, language, tax, etc. A feature that on Enterprise is typically between $100-250K, per year, or 2-5% in additional processing fees depending on the provider. Lastly, if a seller is already using "Basic", the $99.99 is cheap given the core platform is freemium to start, they get a turn-key and enterprise grade e-commerce platform, a fully optimized checkout with one-tap natively supported and will be given opportunities in the near future to earn free cash for campaigns via our upcoming referral programs. I can say from everyone at the Elliot team thank you for the support and seeing us grow since launching. Supporters like you that also provide us critical and constructive criticism enable us to continue to grow, while providing the best possible solution to our customers!!! PS: Now that the SSL is resolved can you please update your review? We know that pricing will still be a con, no way around that one. Cheers!

Hi Hunters, I’m Sergio, the founder of Elliot and I’m excited to release our platforms first new feature. Influence was inspired by a pain-point that I experienced while working in e-commerce. I’ve consulted for the likes of Anastasia Beverly Hills to co-founding my own products such as Faux Freckles. Within those experiences, a key component of success was the use of influencers. However, the thing that we were never certain on was how each influencer campaign translated to sales. We’d make assumptions as to who we “thought” would work best based on available analytics and tag tracking management, but at the end of the day, they were all “gut” based decisions when calculating sales conversion. Well, not any more. Unlike current influencer management and marketing tools, Influence measures and ranks influencer campaigns based on conversion rate. Now brands can know which influencers convert the best for their products! All you have to do follow these steps: 1. Add “Affiliates” to your Elliot account ($99.99, per mo.) 2. Add an influencer to a new Elliot campaign 3. Share your Elliot campaign link with an influencer It is that simple!

@artemis_de_greats as someone who has integrated personally leading enterprise cross border tools, I know the price (ie. I have their contracts and know the fees first-hand). Also, we didn't say that is our "Enterprise" platform price either. Only that those prices reflect typical enterprise pricing for cross border tools to sell globally depending on the provider (which I stated explicitly). Moreover, if things like multi-currency are "standard" then why is that feature only on Shopify Plus for Shopify users? Specifically, "Selling in multiple currencies is a feature for Shopify Plus plans only." Found here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manu... As for the VPN, you can "VPN" all-day; however, our localization is tied to device and browser locale settings. Why? Because let's say an American shopper is abroad and only speaks English. Why would we automatically put a checkout for an English-only speaker in a country like China for example? It would make no sense. So we default to the system settings that the user has set at the time of setup, for either their browser and/or device. Yes, that would rule out the VPN-savvy person like yourself; however, you are not the mass population. 99% of consumers do not have a VPN. As we previously stated, we are okay with our "add-ons" being priced higher because everything that the platform does natively. Which, if you take a roll call, would take between 15-20 Shopify apps to even get close. With that said, considering you do not even know what "standard" functionality is in the platforms that you are referencing. I would recommend you research your references. Lastly, our product market fit is our one-tap checkout (ie. frictionless payment solution). "Add-ons" like Influence are driven by customer inquires asking for more functionality to be added to our checkout links. PS: Can you please share which email address you setup your Elliot account with? Because we have no "artemis_de_greats" as a user.

@artemis_de_greats Now that we know that you and @john_vonroth are the same guy, "Derek J. Sine", we know what are you are doing. We are forwarding all necessary info to PH. All of your commentary can easily be debunked with verbatim quotes from your long-form emails that you send us.
Great Artemis
@john_vonroth @sergio_villasenor I guess two people with constructive feedback are Derek J. Sine. Will I still get the answers to my feedback? or are you reporting me to Product Hunt police?
Beta Cash

They appear to be adding more features to their core platform which are seamless checkouts. Which is great and makes sense. If you are a user they also give you free money to test using their platform so trying these add-ons is worth a shot given they don't ask you for a credit card to start.

Pros:

Simple to use and easy to setup.

Cons:

Could be a bit pricey but always worth a shot.

surgieboi
Thanks for the s/o @beta_cash
SapphireJS

Does what it says it does, it is very straight forward and the checkout pages are great for sharing with influencers that use a lot of social media channels or live streams.

Pros:

Nice plugin to their existing platform, simple to use, localized checkouts, one-tap checkouts from anywhere!

Cons:

Price

surgieboi
Thank you @getsapphirejs
Brittany Paige

However, I'd love to see a future build out of comparing influencers likeliness to convert based on prior engagement on similar products.

Pros:

Allows marketers to make accurate and informative decisions on Influencers we continue to work with past "engagement and awareness."

Cons:

Considering other products do not measure sales conversion, I do not think there is a better product on the market.

Great Artemis

Overall, great MVP to dial in product/market fit. Zero in on influencers, localization or QR codes. Product is too wide. After providing feedback the Founder harassed me.

Pros:

Great lightweight ROI tracker paired with checkout links

Cons:

1) Overpriced with value prop/feature set 2) Clunky localization with native browser translation + currency being table stakes

Faux Freckles

As a brand that uses influencers, this makes life so much easier and the automated payouts save a lot of time. Anyone that has actually managed influencers knows the current solutions are not good enough. Moreover, none come with an entire ecommerce backend like Elliot does with this add-on.

Pros:

Simple to use, cheaper than other advanced influencer tools, checkouts everywhere

Cons:

Better analytics and reporting

surgieboi
Thank you for the review @faux_freckles
