Eight Sleep Spring '25 Release - Turn any bed into the ultimate sleeping experience

I listen closely to feedback from members on how we can continue to push our experience to be world-class. From requests for a way to make easier temperature adjustments to wanting better insights into their data, we redesigned the entire app to tackle some of these tasks and more – setting the stage for the app as a platform for even more innovation. Our brand-new codebase allows us to continue shipping releases faster and better. This is only the beginning 🚀

@m_franceschetti It's really exciting to see this redesign on mobile! I took the plunge and ordered the Eight Sleep + base a little while ago, and in addition to really helping with both tracking and improving my sleep score, this cover plus the new app just feels...futuristic!

The new app experience looks incredibly polished — really appreciate the focus on usability and actionable insights. Making smarter sleep more intuitive is a huge win. Congrats on the release and looking forward to what’s next on this platform journey!

Launching soon!

Nice work @m_franceschetti and team :)

This is cool — but is there a reason why parts look so similar to Oura's app?

Kelly Palmer

@chrismessina Thank you for the feedback!

I believe you're referring to the hypnogram visualization in this example, which is a standard scientific approach used across sleep technology to display sleep stages over time. This is widely adopted in the industry because they're effective at communicating the complex pattern of sleep cycles. We've been using this visualization format in our app for years (it's not new to this redesign).

With the redesign, we focused on improving navigation and accessibility while maintaining the effective visualizations from our old app that our members already understand. The hypnogram remains because it works well - we just enhanced the overall experience around it.

@chrismessina  @kellyr_palmer I'm not a maker of this product, but I can definitely say that this kind of graph is really common. You can find the same things in 100+ health apps, even in the built-in health app of iOS. I think focusing on the UX matters more than on the design.

Chris Messina

Thanks @kellyr_palmer — I understand the chart is common, but the styling seems pretty similar. I suppose it's just a coincidence!

Regardless, congrats on the launch! 🛌🏻
