Ace your exams with Educato! Our AI-driven platform offers personalized learning and top-notch exam prep resources. Join now and unlock your full potential!
I'm Codrut, founder of Educato. While working on the AI prototyping team at Palantir last year, I noticed my girlfriend struggling to integrate AI effectively into her medical residency exam preparation. This high-stakes exam defines your future career as a doctor, so any advantage is incredibly valuable. This inspired us to create Educato to improve the studying experience for future doctors. Within just one year, about 50.000 students started using and loving our product.
Our mission became clear: create personalized, AI-driven exam preparation that's accessible in any language and tailored to each learner's unique rhythm and style. After 18 months of development and participation in YC, Educato for students now covers 10,000 exams in all languages globally, with a deep focus on medical exams. Users can:
Revise exam content in written or audio format
Spaced repetition for long-term retention
Mock exams with 1000+ students
Create and share notes in their community
All enhanced with the help of the AI CapyTutor
We'll be here all day to answer questions and share our mission. Let's chat!
Every time I see a didactic aid on a product hunt, I am very happy. I am also always trying to educate myself (currently in languages). Will I find something for myself on this site? (e.g. German Language or Spanish) :)
P.S.: Love how automatically it loaded options for my country.
@busmark_w_nika Thanks for your support Nika!! Are you trying to pass a language certificate or just learning for yourself? We are looking into supporting certificates asap
So excited to see this launch! We worked together on an education project 5 years ago, and it’s amazing to see the journey continue. Keep up the great work!
How does Educato.ai ensure the accuracy and reliability of the educational content it generates? What is the process for curating and verifying information?
Hi@alex_seletsky , thanks for raising an important question here! This is an area we believe a lot of AI EdTech startups get wrong.
We make sure all educational content is of the highest quality before being presented to students.
1. Our content is never generated by the AI's built-in knowledge, as it is prone to hallucination. Our models hold reliable source material in context (past exams, open source textbooks, student notes) to generate the content
All content goes through a publishing flow, where human experts review and edit the content before publishing. The edits improve future generation with a tight feedback loop. This is a huge set of platform features that learners don't see!
Content is audited through highlighted anomalies (e.g. a question has a high % of wrong responses) and student feedback. Our AI reads the feedback and suggests content changes to our moderators, kind of like a code diff view, who can approve or edit the change suggestions.
Wow, this is really cool! I love hearing the backstories behind amazing products, and Educato’s is especially powerful. It’s so inspiring to see something born out of a personal experience grow into a tool that’s actually helping thousands of med students. That’s huge! I am both excited and happy for this launch!
Just curious—how do you keep the content relevant across so many countries and medical systems, especially since medical exams and regulations can vary so much?
Amazing! I used educato for my med school exams and it helped me get through every difficult exam. My gpa also significantly increased since I started using!!
Hey all 👋 Pierre-Louis here, one of the cofounders of Educato
2024 was so exciting, helping 50k+ students across 10 exams. We're aiming for a much larger scale with the announcement of 10,000+ exams now available! Thank you all for your support!
Wow, Educato for Students is such a game-changer for exam prep! 📚 The AI-driven approach to personalized learning feels like having a super-smart tutor who knows exactly what I need to focus on. I’m seriously impressed by how it tailors resources for over 10,000 university exams—talk about comprehensive! The clean design and intuitive setup make studying less overwhelming and honestly kind of fun. Kudos to the team for building something so powerful yet student-friendly!
I use Educato every single day to prepare for my residency exam, and it has completely changed the way I study. It keeps me focused, consistent, and actually makes learning feel doable. I genuinely don’t know how I managed before discovering it.
Looks great! I’m curious—what kinds of exams does your platform support? Are you focused on things like language certifications, professional/technical licenses, university entrance prep, or job exam preparation?
Hey @kay_arkain - we started with medical exams but today, we support virtually every type!
Medical / Law / Engineering / Civil Service /University are huge, and we have a growing user base in technical licenses, language certifications, government licenses and permits.
We'd love to add job exam prep next :) Thanks for the suggestion
Congrats on the Educato launch! 🎉 This is such an incredible tool for students everywhere! I love how it not only connects learners with specialized tutors but also adapts to different countries' exam needs – talk about making education accessible across borders! 🌍
The audio lessons and 10,000-exam library are total game-changers. Finally, a study tool that understands the struggle, whether you're prepping for the SAT, Gaokao, or A-Levels. Wishing you massive success in bringing students and tutors together worldwide! 🚀📚
Really like how you’re tackling academic writing with real-time feedback — it’s something both students and teachers could seriously use.
Just curious, are you thinking about branching into areas like research help or citation tools too? Feels like there’s a lot of room for Educato to grow into an even bigger academic resource.
@gianmaria_caltagirone Thanks Gianmaria! We have not yet looked into supporting non-exam specific tools, but I can definitely see how that would be an extension of our essay feedback tool.
@desmond_ren1 It really depends on the exam and how frequently the curriculum changes. We have the tools in place to update our content as often as needed. For university exams, updates typically happen every semester or year. For others, like medical residency exams, the curriculum only changes every 5 years - which gives us plenty of time to adapt.
@thisiskp_ Hi there and thank you for your question.
To be honest, all of our features have received a lot of love. However, among them, the standout ones would definitely be the study session, where, with the help of our AI CapyTutor, students can get their questions answered based on the context of their exam as in-depth as they like, and the mock exams, where at the end of each test, students can see an anonymous ranking of everyone who participated and filter it based on relevant data for each exam's context.
Also, a well-deserved shoutout goes to our Audio Feature, where every lesson on the website can be turned into an audiobook that the student can listen to in just a matter of seconds.
Educato for Students helped me a lot in saving precious time in the preparation process for the exams of the last semester. The information is structured really well(the platform generally presents pictures, too) and what I like the most is the highly efficient method of feedback(flashcards or questions with grid or synthesis type answers). I can therefore say that I'm really grateful that I've found out about this platform, I wish all the best to the creators and I hope to see even more content from them in the near future!

@codylemeni Only for my purposes at the moment, but don't exclude the option to have an official certificate in the future. :)

10,000+ exams is insane coverage! How often are practice materials updated to match evolving university curricula?
