
Why Bearconnect.io requires a credit card upfront (even for the free trial)
I’ve been asked this a lot since launch: “Why force people to put in their card just to try it out?”
Here’s my thinking 👇
I don’t want free loaders.
I want serious users who are genuinely interested in solving their LinkedIn lead gen challenges.
Requiring a card does a few things:
Filters out people who just want to click around
Ensures our tech team gets feedback from real users
Keeps signups high-quality and closer to actual customers
Yes — it means fewer signups.
But the people who do sign up are way more engaged and treat Bearconnect as a growth tool, not a toy.
That’s a tradeoff I’m okay with.
