Man, this looks an *awful* lot like Pixave.
sascha assbach
@chrismessina i was just looking for an alternative to pixave actually, cause i'm still not really happy with it and it doesn't seem there are any updates coming anytime soon. probably going to try this one here. any other recommendations? i still miss ember or rather littlesnapper
Sara Dove
@chrismessina YES, BUT IT HAS NEVER CRASHED ON ME AFTER 3 MONTHS OF HARD USE. PIXAVE CRASHED REGULARLY AND MY COLLECTIONS OF STOCK WENT POOF! LOVE IT!!

I dreamed about this kind of app and Eagle just made it :) Just make a try you won't regret it! A must have whatever if you are designer, product manager or maketer as I am ;)

I love Eagle.cool!! I use it every single day! Incredible value!

I've used so many things in this product space: Ember, Littlesnapper, Inboard, Pixave. Eagle is in a class of its own. Extensive organisation features, ridiculous speed, multiple libraries, auto-import, non-subscription pricing. If you work with visuals (or just like collecting pretty things) this is a must have.

For a long time, I've wanted an offline catalog of inspirations I can reference for my design projects. Eagle fulfills exactly that and more. It's fast, supports GIFs/videos, has a straight-forward web clipper and does image annotation. I can organize, search and browse through hundreds of items I've collected without any lags. Also, the tagging interface (with tag groups) is extremely thoughtful — I can categorize assets across different dimensions very easily (e.g., by platform, by subject, by style, etc.). If you're a designer, I recommend Eagle over Pinterest, Dribbble buckets or other online-based collection platforms. Speed is a huge factor when looking for prior arts that you could show to your team as examples for what's possible.

Cool, are you planning to integrate with Figma?
Angel Wang
@gertjanwilde Hi GJ, I apologize for the late reply! Our macOS version already supports the Figma format, which can be imported and previewed directly. Unfortunately, our Windows version does not support Figma format preview currently, however Figma format still can be imported and managed (add tags, categories, etc.). I will bring the proposed idea to the dev team and see what we can do, and keep you updated if we have any news on this. If you still have questions please send us a message via service@eagle.cool or tweet us @eagle_app to let us know! Thank you for your support!!🙌🏻

Updates have been coming monthly and each one brings many great features. The user experience makes sense and is easy to figure out how to use. Lots of great organizational features and filters. I've been using this product for over a year (maybe 2+?) and it's great having the security of keeping all my high resolution images stored and not requiring an internet connection to browse images. Currently only for desktop though so I'm looking forward to a mobile version.
Angel Wang
@thektan Hi Kevin, Thank you for your support! 🙌🏻 We try our best to update our product every month, you can keep up with our development road map here to learn the upcoming new features: Roadmap: https://trello.com/b/LSsVep1d/ea...

I've been looking for an app to replace Inboard app as the app is old and no features been released. Eagle is a game changer I hope the devs keep working on it for the long-term cuz I'm all in with Eagle!

As a marketer and founder, your swipe file is one of your most important assets in your library of tools to help you quickly get inspired when building new marketing campaigns. With my own ever-expanding swipe file, I am always looking for better ways to manage this mix of screenshots, videos, email swipes and more. I was previously a fan of Realmac's Ember, but after this product was discontinued a few years back it has been hard to find a solid alternative which provided the easy interface for managing my swipes library. I've been testing Eagle now for a over a month and it has worked seamlessly to provide easy navigation of my design/swipes library. It includes browser addons for saving webpages, as well as an easy to use drag and drop interface for importing existing imagery and swipes. I particularly appreciate the ability to organise files into folders and sub-folders, and then filter by many different variables including colour, tag, notes and more. There's a 30 day trial so I'd recommend anyone looking for a great tool to manage their design library or swipe file library give this a try...

Man I wish they had an iOS companion and the ability to sync data using iCloud.
Vivian Chang
@dnlrva We understand how convenient it will be if the iOS version is developed and we've tried hard to discuss all the details as well as the compliance with the Mobile App Shops. If you’d like to preview your files on the mobile, you can do that by syncing data with cloud services, eg. Google Drive or Dropbox. However, the layout may be cluttered. Some tutorials for syncing Eagle with cloud services: - External Hard Drive: https://medium.com/@JessiW/how-t... - Synology NAS Drive: https://medium.com/@JessiW/how-t... Also, Eagle can sync with iCloud but we don't recommend doing it because the live-up-date synchronization status can't be seen and it may cause confusion when syncing. We will keep you posted and hope to launch the mobile version ASAP! Till then, enjoy!

I've started using this app 1 year ago and I have to say it is damn useful, the experience is well crafted, and the product often updated :)

I've emailed their "support" on the 24 Jan 2019 and until now I haven't received any reply. I've lost time and the data I've entrusted them, but that's OK – lesson learnt: before you start using any product, always check the quality of the support first. Frankly, I'm fed up with "products" that have only a nice facade but when a problem arises and support is needed, all they have to offer is just incompetence or ignorance. For the lack of support, or in fact any communication, it's a definitive no from me.
Ryan Roberts
@i_design_websites Have you found an equivalent alternative app?
I Design Websites
@ryan_roberts1 A while ago I've started using https://www.notion.so/ Currently, it's my core tool for noting/keeping/organising stuff. It's not a direct replacement for Eagle (as it's lacking all those quirky, design-focused features like searching by colour, aspect ratio, etc.) It's got however superpowers that allow you to handle with ease so much more than just images. That makes it for me a winner – an unbeatable multi-purpose beast. In terms of image handling, it allows adding stuff with drag and drop, copy/paste. Allows reorganising stuff with drag and drop. Has native integrations with Google Drive, InVision, Figma, Loom (and more). All this is intuitive, fast and reliable. But still, the best thing about Notion is that it makes it super easy going from messy to organised and structured because anything you're adding to Notion has a database structure and you can swiftly switch between page/table/board/gallery/list/calendar views, whenever you want. Magic!

Definitely one of the best apps to control assets. The only downside is the support. Recently I sent one email for the support team asking for something and it took them 17 days to answer. Anyway I still recommend it.
Angel Wang
@leonardo_mattar Hi Leonardo, I'm sorry it took so long for us to reply. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience our customer support may have caused you over the years. Looks promising, but unfortunately I get massive "xxx images failed to import" on my MacBook Pro, for PPTXor for some Sketch files with the comment "maybe too old...". Am I doing something wrong or is this a beta?
Carli Li
@ralf_neugebauer No, the current product support for some formats is not enough and stable, but the developer is a reason to develop alone. He was an experienced designer before becoming a developer. Maybe we need more patience and wait for him to bring us more surprises.
Angel Wang
@carli_li @ralf_neugebauer Hi Carli, thank you for your kind words! Your support means alot to us! 🙏🏻 Hi Ralf, I believe the issues "xxx images failed to import" have been solved over the years, from the last update Eagle officially allows you to import all types of files. You don't need to organize ZIP, RAR, EPUB, GDOC, DMG, etc files in a separate organizer anymore, Please visit our website to get your hands on the latest version! Thank you!

App is awesome! Really awesome! Not using it much but love it as assets for one project by collecting :D The only thing I'm missing is some ai object recognition may be using some google cloud api and its AutoML Vision Object Detection for everyone to be able to connect to it and pay as you go :D
Angel Wang
@konstantin_fedorov Hi Konstantin, Thank you for using Eagle! We have received and are very grateful for your feedback. Although ai object recognition is not yet implemented, we think this is definitely a very good idea! I will bring the proposed idea to the dev team and see what we can do, and keep you updated if we have any news on this. If you still have questions or new feature ideas please send us a message via or tweet us @eagle_app to let us know! Thank you for your support!!🙌🏻
