This Won't Scale by Drift - 40 free marketing playbooks to help you grow your business

Will it scale? That's the question marketers ask. But here's the problem - that thinking steers you toward the same saturated tactics that everyone is using. Drift has grown exponentially by doing the things that don't scale. You can too. Grab this free book to try 40 of our marketing playbooks.

This time Drift is launching a new book (not a new feature) called "This Won't Scale." The book shows you how their marketing team has used unscalable tactics to drive results and become one of the most well-known marketing teams in SaaS.

@hnshah Hi, the link is not working. It leads to a 404 page, a very nice one btw.
Jan Kuzel
@hnshah please fix the link :)
Daniel J. Murphy
@hnshah @kuzeljan whoops! Product Hunt went live before the page did, my fault! It's live now: drift.com/unscalable

@hnshah @gkollias sorry George! Product Hunt went live before the page did, my fault. Here you go: https://www.drift.com/unscalable/

Cool :) So it's a physical book? How long until I can expect it?
Daniel J. Murphy
@daviswbaer Hey Davis, the book will be available next month. Physical, real book :)
Daniel J. Murphy
@daviswbaer Order it today and you'll get yours next month.

@d_j_murphy So you are printing and shipping all these books for free? Almost seems to good to be true! Thanks :)
Ralf Neugebauer
@daviswbaer @d_j_murphy I love that you give away your book for free but to be honest: In times where all people talk about protecting our planet and nature do you really want to print so much books and send them around the globe? ;-(
Keyul
Drift is a great product. Looking forward to the new book from Drift.
Daniel J. Murphy

I had a pretty bad experience on your chatbot, FYI. It asked for my physical mailing address. I typed “1 mystreet road” Hit return to go onto next line but the chatbot submitted and was like “great, now what’s your email address” So I then put in the rest of my mailing address (on one line this time) and hit return and chatbot says “sorry I didn’t get that email address, try again” It wasn’t great at all. I don’t know if you have my information. I like the sound of the book though.
Daniel J. Murphy
@mickc79 Mick, sorry about that! That's not a great experience. I will double check to make sure we have the right information for you.

@d_j_murphy thanks. I think the problem is that you're asking for a mailing address but the chat interface doesn't intuitively let you take a new line.
Derek Gabriel
@d_j_murphy realize I'm dredging up an old thread, but I have had a similar experience as @mickc79. I have never typed my full address, street and city/state on one line, and after I typed in my street address, the bot asked if it was correct. However, before I saw that response I had already typed my city/state/zip and hit enter, it replied, great thanks! So as far as I know, you only have my street address.

@d_j_murphyI Call me awkward but I always say good bye to chatbots ;) However Driftbot stayed silent as a stone. ;) See screenshot below. I think this might be a missed opportunity to showcase your product in it's best context. Especially if somebody likes to chat with bots after "official business" is done ;)
Daniel J. Murphy
@matbilinski thanks for the feedback!
Dev Parashar
will you ship it all the way to India?!

Just reserved mine, looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing your learnings with the community.

Thanks, Drift! I look forward to receiving my copy!
Narrative Science

Planning on having the whole team read it via the PDF.

Pros:

Lots of scrappy suggestions that can be quickly implemented by any startup or company.

Cons:

Backordered until July!
