As someone who both hires a lot of people and also makes a lot of introductions, this is the holy grail - it matches people from your network to openings at your company, so that you don't have to think through your whole rolodex every time someone asks "hey do you know any good ________?"

@mvolpe Thanks for hunting this Mike! We're excited to see how folks use it :)

@dharmesh Thank you! The team is really excited today :)

Every recruiter knows that referrals are the way to the best new hires. It's like pulling teeth getting to them though. I mean, Google recruiters literally sit you down and interrogate you for every referral possibility as soon as you're in the door. It's that important. I hope this tool helps folks navigate that morass quickly and without friction.

@colinbrauns Colin - I couldn't agree more. One of the things we are aiming for is to skip the interrogation and actually make it fun for you by making suggestions with a (hopefully) fun UI :)

I spend so much time making intros for talented friends. I am glad to do it; but something where I can more concretely help them is a huge win/win.

Hey PH! I'm Sam Hagman and I'm a developer at Drafted who worked a lot on how we match people to potential jobs. I'd love to hear any feedback or answer any questions about our Matches feature or the Drafted app in general.

@hagmansam Hi Sam! Is this a bug? After I sign in and say I want to refer people, I get a bar along the bottom of my screen with a countdown saying "Estimated Time: 38 seconds(s) Generating passive candidates for your jobs from Cavan's contacts.." That message stayed there for a while, and now it says "Estimated Time: 1 hours(s) 24 minutes(s) 34 seconds(s) Generating passive candidates for your jobs from Ben's contacts...". First, "seconds(s)". Second, who's Cavan? Third, that's a long time! Anyway, awesome product! This looks like it could be really great for making the hiring market more efficient.

@benburns Hey Ben! The different name you saw is a known bug and we are fixing it as we speak! Thank you very much for reporting it - we love responsive users. The long time that was shown is a fairly simple (and conservative) estimation based on current load which was probably spiking right around the time you joined. In general we don't see candidate generation take anywhere near that long so don't worry too much about that number. If you have more feedback feel free to DM me or @draftedapp on Twitter or message us using the chat button on the bottom right of our website. P.S. I just committed the fix for that "seconds(s)" typo, thanks for pointing that out.

Hello Sam, First, let me say "Congratulations" to you and your team. Your idea is great, as explained by others who's jobs are indeed in recruitment, you are clearly answering a need. And not only for that side of the recruitment industry, but also from the candidates themselves. Like me, that's the reason why I clicked to try it. So let me share with you my first impressions : 1. As @benburns mentionned, once you've launch the synchronisation, you're facing a first issue. It looks like it takes a few minutes countdown before getting the dashboard updated. But then, because I like when things go smooth, I asked the chatbot support why ? And I was invited to refresh the page (in fact I had to close it and reopen it), which is fine. What is not fine is the following : - It's been six month since @benburns made his comment. You have to focus on the customer experience (after the content itself or the value added) and 6 months delay is too much. 2. I must be unfortunate but after a few minutes using your solution (maybe 5 minutes maximum), I found a potential suggested match job for someone in my linkedin network. And I decided to open it directly into Linkedin, instead of Drafted. What a surprise to see that this job was no more available !? Worst, it was not only the job but the company itself not present on Linkedin... That's unaceptable Sam, sorry to say that. That's my little contribution and I hope you can use it to make Drafted better and more accurate. Because in the end, I really feel your idea is great. But I will not use it in the following months because of what I've just said. Maybe, in a near future, I will be back, maybe not and that's how all customers behaviour work. Make your product and service to work perfectly well and don't pass through the customer experience. Take care jm
