This is incredibly cool, especially in a world where there's so many qualified applicants for a limited number of jobs! How detailed can the experience criteria be, in terms of filtering for specific past projects?

@jesika_haria hey Jesika! thanks so much, do you mean filtering only on past project experience? or using past project experience to find what you're looking for? the latter you can achieve with keywords as long as the applicant lists those past projects on their resume!

@rajiv_ayyangar 100%. Keywords are limiting and require that candidates are super SEO-optimizing their resumes! Using additional context can help surface actual matching experience for candidates you otherwise may have missed!

We use Dover's ATS at Supademo (we're hiring 😉 https://supademo.com/apply) and it's been an asset to our hiring operations. We're able to source, review, and update candidates really easily with pre-built templates and stages. Did I mention it's free?! With the sheer volume of applicants we've been seeing, this new scoring tool will be a huge asset!

This is awesome, I no longer have to rely on candidates embedding the right keywords and biasing towards those that effectively SEO their resume. Can you speak more about the explainability of a query like “fintech background”?

@neilsatra1 definitely- it’s designed to solve a lot of those issues. For something like “fintech background”, AI will translate this into our sourcing engine which has a ton of filters. Our sourcing engine has mappings of which companies fit into which industries and will spit out an answer along with an explanation “candidate worked at Robinhood (fintech) for 6 years”. It’s much easier for this to be explainable than an LLM-only model.

This looks incredible -- will definitely try this out. I like that it's explainable. My only worry about AI would be that I'd miss someone great because of some automated system, but it sounds like this accounts for that.

@edwardbenson it's designed to help you find top candidates faster! You are the one clicking Approve & Reject. BUT you can also review every candidate, Dover doesn't automatically reject anyone. You can also set your criteria so new applicants are automatically sorted based on specific filters.

@edwardbenson Great question! I'd actually argue that our tool will make it more likely that you won't miss someone great since we make it really efficient to look through all of your applicants! Like Katy said, you are still in full control!

This is really cool! Random idea but it would be cool to plug in the job requirement and have candidates selected, with subtle reasoning about why a candidate might be good. E.g. "this person doesn't have experience with backend but they're really aligned with your mission and have a strong track record of learning quickly"

@noah_maccallum1 yes, Dover generates sample candidates for you immediately based on your JD. They're sorted by best match vs. your criteria. Soon, we're shipping "explainers" so it's really clear why someone did or did not match!
