Hey all, thanks for the kind words about Ditty 2.0. I work at Zya, maker of Ditty and other cool music tech apps. We're all musicians or music fans here, and believe tech should enable more people, regardless of their musical skill, to interact with music in fun ways.
Earlier this year we had the crazy idea to make this app, and realized we might be able to pull it off from the tech side using our cloud-based music creation platform. The team hard pivoted onto the project to make the release of Facebook Messenger's new platform as a launch partner. A lot had to come together to actually make the tech work, but when we finally got it hooked up, the whole office couldn't stop laughing.
Since then, we've seen great traction, with a ton of organic acquisition, healthy engagement, and even some unexpected celebrities and influencers posting dittys to their socials.
This release adds a user-created video feature which lets users record a video along with their ditty, as well as packs of songs sold at a discount. It's been awesome seeing how video has taken the app to the next level, with some users telling hilarious stories with the medium (see my favorite power user: https://instagram.com/asseenoncd for an example).
We won't stop until the world is communicating solely in dittys. But until then, we'll settle for the inevitable slack integration... @jsneedles@willydennis@benrbn@uriharamati@eatfeilove@rrhoover@sistanisays@_jamesmundy@lynnfredricks@jaimefjorge
