Hey Product Hunt community!
I'm Max, Co-founder and Lead Product Designer of Dinosave, here together with our founder @nikita_kolokoltsev and we're very excited to share our first Dinosave release with you!
Let me start from a problem:
Have you ever found saving products from online stores a chore?
Perhaps you've juggled bookmarks, wishlists on each website, notes, Notion or others.
But then how do you:
🗂 Manage these bookmarks? Need to remember where you had them and then edit lists, manually checking if links still work...
🔗 Share with others? Ever found yourself sharing a bunch of links for what you're picking up to buy?
🎯 Dinosave is a single place to keep all your product bookmarks and whole wishlists.
Inspired by some of the best-in-class apps for saving: pinterest, mymind, savee, cosmos.so and others and built Dinosave to focus on e-commerce products.
We were surprised no big company has tried yet to solve the issue but even if they did you’d have to give up your data and would have drown in offers and confusing, bloated UI.
Our main features:
💸 Completely free and we don't sell your data, no ads, no deals, no spam from stores.
⬇️ Track real price drops on all of the websites Dinosave works with.
📌 Organize saved products, similarly to Pinterest.
🔗 Share your wishlist link with anyone, anywhere.
A few use cases:
👗 Compare styles across different brands, collect looks with items from different stores in a single place.
🎄 Collect holiday decor and more to then share with your family and friends.
🎒 Gather or compare gear for a new hobby.
🛍️ Use it as pinterest that you can actually reliably shop.
What's for Dino on the horizon?
📱 Web and mobile apps to add, view and manage your saved products.
🌟 Some exciting social features like seeing other people’s wishlists who saved the same item as you did and more
💬 Fostering community for faster feedback loops while we're developing and growing up Dinosave
We've sweat a lot of details to make it a nice experience and hope you'll enjoy interacting with Dino!
Me and @nikita_kolokoltsev are here to answer all of your questions and to find out what you think about the product and how we can make Dinosave even more useful and valuable to you.
Please note, this is an early release and you might encounter bugs or unsupported stores. So we encourage you to share your feedback regarding those with us directly.
Happy saving and good luck finding price drops!
Appreciate your support and see you again soon,
Max.
@appxcite Hello! Sure, that would be great!
Just in case, here's Dinosave X(ex-Twitter) account: https://x.com/dinosave_
It doesn't have much content there yet, but it's gonna change soon 😉
And thank you for your feedback!
@kate_ramakaieva Hey Kate, thanks for commenting! Sadly not all stores are supported yet, we're at early stage currently and playing it safe with around 200 stores supported. But by the end of the year we're planning to add a lot more and, more importantly, add support for manual adding which means supporting all of the stores!
If you have any you'd like to use with Dinosave now, drop us a message with links and we'll add them within a day to make sure you can do the Christmas shopping more comfortably
@nikita_kolokoltsev thanks. In the first comment, @maxdo wrote "we don't sell your data, no ads, no deals, no spam from stores." You may be able to collect sufficient data to do some real-time or near real-time analysis, anonymize the data and then sell it back to the relevant stores. Not sure what's your business model, but sounds like a way to be profitable without compromising your engagement with your users. Saying all this, but I'm not a marketing guy at all haha.
@nikita_kolokoltsev@julienergan Thanks! Great point. We're too early to consider something like this for sure and in the near future only focused on features that improve user experience, engagement, retention. We won't sell this data to stores unless it benefits the people using Dinosave first, there are far more interesting ways we can use the data ourselves to improve the product and it's social features! (For example seeing how many other people saved the same product you're looking at)
@nikita_kolokoltsev@maxdo makes sense for the near future priorities. And your approach to using your user data sounds great. It'll be exciting to see where you'll take Dinosave. Thanks for your answer, appreciate you took the time.
congrats on the launch :)
managing my online shopping has always been a bit chaotic..... but dinosave seems like it's going to make things so much simpler.
I love dinosaurs, I go to their museums all of the time. I also use docusaurus, lol, so I'll probably check out this app only because of the Dinosaur theme.
@sergio_ferens Thanks for the feedback! I agree, this is a more complex feature on the development side for us but we've already committed to build that!
@sergio_ferens We're currently thinking of implementing something similar to what you described. So it might become a reality sooner than you think 😉
Thanks for the feedback!
@leon_ostrez Hello! It might be a little bit trickier to implement, but actually sounds pretty interesting.
If you have any particular websites you would like us to support feel free to fill "Request a store" form in the footer on our website.
Thank you for your feedback!
That’s a great product! I will definitely using it! But maybe some advise try to give more information on the landing, like the stores we can save, or maybe a short video demo.
