Hey Product Hunt! 🙌 Harish here, one of Designlab’s co-founders. Wanted to introduce our brand new Sketch email course we’re launching today. * Why did we make this? 👨‍💻 We’re an online education company that’s all about teaching our students UI/UX design through hands-on project work and 1-on-1 mentorship — we think that these two elements are critical to a strong creative education. We’ve had a lot of success with both our month long course offerings and our flagship UX Academy online intensive. But, one thing we noticed with design beginners is that there’s a barrier with getting started with design tools. * Why Sketch? 🗒️ As a lot of UI/UX designers know - Sketch is a great way to get started in the field (versus diving straight into tools like Photoshop and Illustrator). We wanted to give our students (and anyone for that matter!) an easy-to-use guide on how to get started with Sketch, and teach them some basic skills on how to navigate and use the tool. * Why an email course? 📩 There’s tons of other tutorials online for Sketch, but not everyone likes to learn through video. We decided to do a free email course instead — we’re a big fan of the email medium, since we can deliver helpful content in an easy-to-digest way, but still provide big value to students since they can reference the lessons easily instead of rewatching tutorials. We’ve also layered in a bunch of extra perks like a free Sketch cheat sheet, downloadable templates to work off of, and links to deeper content. ❣️Thanks for taking a look❣️ Let us know if you have any questions or thoughts on the course, and happy Sketching!
