Has anyone here tried Deepseek yet? 🤔

From what I’ve seen, it looks like a strong competitor in the AI space, but I’d love to hear your thoughts. 🔥 How does it compare to GPT, Claude, or Mistral? Any standout features or limitations? 🤔

I think deep thinking is a very interesting feature, it feels like you know how to think about problems

I've only dabbled a little bit with @DeepSeek but I think it's low cost is what really makes it exciting. It's also nice to see another open source competitor in the AI space!

I've given Deepseek a try! It's got some really strong suits. Its mixture - of - experts architecture makes it super fast, handling creative writing, coding, and productivity tasks with ease. For instance, it debugged a faulty JavaScript function for me in no time. And it's open - source, so you can freely explore and build on it. However, it's not perfect. It can sometimes give incorrect info on niche topics. Also, when compared to GPT, its support materials are a bit lacking, which makes it a bit tough for newbies. And it's a bit evasive on some sensitive topics. But overall, it's a great competitor in the AI space, especially for those on a budget.

I’ve been using DeepSeek for a while now, and so far, I haven’t encountered any downsides. Its deep thinking mode is particularly impressive, as it demonstrates how it analyzes and processes information, ultimately providing well-structured responses for users.

@DeepSeek 's R1 seems similar to but less polished than @OpenAI 's O1. It's far cheaper so would make sense for any sort of bulk usage via API.
