Hey Hunters, I'm excited to introduce you to Decks! I created Decks based on my own study struggles while learning development. I used to jot down notes from YouTube videos, create flashcards, and make physical notes from various tutorials and blogs. But soon, I found myself juggling notes across different apps. It was chaotic, and I often forgot where I’d saved my notes. So, I decided to build Decks – a one-stop solution to streamline the learning process. With Decks, you can seamlessly take notes, organize YouTube video collections, chat with ChatGPT, and create flashcards, all in one place. Imagine having all your study resources neatly organized into study decks that you can access anytime, anywhere. Need to recall a specific tip from a YouTube video? It's just one click away. Decks has transformed my learning experience, and I’m confident it will do the same for you. Give it a try and let me know how it helps you master new skills and boost your productivity! Happy learning!

Well, that's awesome. Big fan of EdTech, and Decks seems like a solid addition to the industry. Checking this out. BTW, how does Decks integrate with YouTube to organize video collections, and what features make it easy to recall specific tips or segments from videos?
Jason Meng
@dmytro_semonov Happy to read your comment! nice to find another EdTech-ie! With Decks, you can create a deck, essentially a folder, and add YouTube videos to it, effectively creating your own playlist. You can add a video by either searching YouTube directly within Decks or by pasting in a URL. Once the video is added, you can tag it and watch it in the app. Organization revolves around creating playlists, tagging, and arranging videos in specific folders (decks). To recall certain parts of videos, you can add timestamp links that allow you to quickly jump to specific sections. These links are created in the note editor, so your notes, along with the timestamps, are all associated with that video, making it easy to recall information.

Congrats! What kind of learning resources does Decks support, and can users add their own?
Jason Meng
@william_jin Thank you! For external resources, it currently only supports YouTube and ChatGPT. Did you have any other resources in mind?

congrats on the launch of decks, truly a thoughtful integration of tools for learners. how does the app ensure that user data, especially notes and personal annotations, remains secure while using multiple features like chatgpt and video annotations?
Anastasiia Stepko
Indeed, it's a very interesting idea. With what websites does it work?
Jason Meng
@anastasiia_stepko Thanks for the comment! for adding videos and AI it only works with YouTube and ChatGPT for now. The other stuff, notes and flashcards, are all in app.

Students would love using this, and I hope they get to know about this tool
Jason Meng
@shushant_lakhyani Thanks for the comment! I hope they get to know about it too. It's really helped me study and retain information, so it'd be great to help more students if I can.

Just tried out Decks and I'm seriously impressed! It's like a supercharger for my learning routine. The spaced repetition feature is a game-changer for memorizing complex concepts. I've been using it for my coding classes and my retention has skyrocketed! Plus, the UI is so clean and user-friendly. It's like having a personal librarian for all my digital flashcards. Can't wait to see how this evolves!

Congrats on the launch! I could've really used something like this during uni. Do you have any mobile app or plans for one?
Jason Meng
@daniel_mellish Thank you! I'm sure you did fine in uni without it! no plans for a native mobile app at the moment. I do plan on launching a desktop version of it soon though.

Congrats! Looks very promising! I like the minimalism and the fact that you seem to have included all the necessary features for learners and nothing that's not needed!

Does it work with other video systems than YT?
Jason Meng
@bogomep currently just YT, is there another video system you think I should add?
