Day One Version 3 - Capture life as you live it.

Day one classic was the best but it's a version that doesn't use their own cloud. Because of that, they abandoned it even thought it had dropbox and icloud integrations which everyone wanted. The new day one is crap, I bought it on ios for v2 and it was far worse, but it's the version they can charge you for cloud storage. I lost all my entries from before too so I don't want to use it. Right now, I just wish someone else does a good diary system based on a global cloud storage like dropbox or icloud. Journaling format should be standardized so moving entries is easier.

It's crazy to think that I hunted Day One v2.0 three years ago — and yet here we are again. Very excited to see several big updates to my favorite journaling app. I use it nearly every day even if I don't write all the time. Still, since I've been using it, I've recorded over 1200 entries... and most of them are longer than 140 characters, so that's saying something. In any case, I'm excited — and I'm sure the Bloom team is too.

Use this product daily and I love it. Plus, the team building this product behind the scenes is super smart, thoughtful and listens to the customers. Thanks for bringing another great update to market

A great update to a great app! I've used Day One for nearly 4 years, and I don't think I'll ever switch to another one. The new entry editor is great, and the app feels slicker overall.

I can't wait for a better alternative. Day One is a great example of an awesome app with the worst business practice. You pay for functionalities that, inevitably, will be charged again with a next release. I used to love it. I utterly dislike it now.

I love day one. Using it since 2013 every day. Keep saving reminders of my life and most memorable events. Thanks, guys!

I sure hope v3 addresses the numerous bugs in v2.

I'm a big fan of Day One. I've been using Day One for years. Thanks Paul and the team. Sadly I can't upload video for an entry :(. Is this feature in your roadmap?

Thanks for the upvotes! It's a major foundational upgrade to the app, we've got a lot more planned to continue refining and improving the overall experience and helping you all make good habits for documenting your lives.

iOS11 is the minimum requirement now. My iPad4 running iOS10 got left behind. :( When is this update coming to Android?

I use this app on a daily basis. I also write on the MacOS companion app. I was very disappointed to find that I can't edit entries made in the iOS app on my MacBook. Why release the app on iOS, make no mention of this compatibility issue??

Loving Day One, although one feature which I'm still missing is the one feature that makes me use one of their competitors still as well (https://momentoapp.com/), the option to have a Diary that is fully automated with information from the social networks etc. you share. Been using Momento for years as well, next to Day One and I would really love to be able to one day get all my data from Momento into a special diary in Day One and then keeps on updating itself from there too. @paulmayne, is there anything like that in the planning next to video?
