It seems that brands are now creating their own curated directories I imagine a lot is to do with trying to get users to use their products. Personal curations are more valuable IMO because often there is no underlying agenda. My recommendations in Marketing Stack are from things I used myself and liked. Won't brands just recommend things that compliment their products/are integrated with them? it does look a little more polished than mine though ;)
