What to expect from Dad Reply v1.5

πŸ‘‹ Hello Daddies,

Oh god...maybe not, if the same person that came up with Swifties can get in touch that would be great.

It's been a wild few weeks, but I'm now in a position to speak to you about Dad Reply 1.5.

This Dad has been to the gym, listened to the Chris Wilkinson podcast, and will soon be ready to get back out there. I'll keep it as short as I can, but here goes.

Skin tone selection.

First up is the ability to select your preferred Skin tone. Although what may be considered minor, if you have this option everywhere else you should have it here too.

Custom responses.

Amongst the feedback was the ability to have a collection of potential emoji replies. Well that's what you'll be getting. Initially there'll be 3 (the standard πŸ‘ will always be there to maintain the brand, or whatever people say). These will be editable, don't worry it won't include any text in your reply that's just a label for your reference.

Upgraded button.

Soβ€¦πŸ€” with the ability to have different replies, how will one select them I hear you say? Or something along those lines I'm sure. Well there'll be a new button option available of course. Don't worry the original one will always be available. There'll also be an option to 'send on selection' which will save you another click.

Via Dad Reply.

😬 Yeah, so as you know this originally took less than a day to put together. However it's beginning to take considerably more of my time. It's just me, so I am doing it all. You know all the bullshit that goes along with building a product, design, marketing, social, development, testing. In order for me to get more awareness, I need a hook to make people curious, and gain more users.

This will be done with a 'via Dad Reply' link inserted into each response you do. It's small.

Dad Reply Pro.

Hopefully I eased you into this, with the soft blow of the link insert. Now comes the upper cut. Let's talk about Dad Reply Pro.

I debated a lot over this, but here's what I came up with;

Is that monthly? Yearly?

I get you, I get you. For a start, and to say thank-you it will be a lifetime licence to all features, this will be exclusive to those who voted, and particularly those that commented (I'll post a coupon code on pre-launch). I am also not opposed to giving away some licences too. Later on I am leaning toward a yearly fee.

What happens after 1.5.

More features are planned, I am particularly interested in supporting more email services, starting with Outlook (going after those corporate expense accounts). But I won't be announcing anything else just yet.

What can I do now?

For now, sit back, drink in the update (water if you haven't for a while), and wait. I am still plugging (get it) away here. If you wish you can Follow Dad Reply on LinkedIn I will be trying my best to engage 'professionally' or drop a review for the current version.

There will be a pre-launch, so be sure to watch out for that. God, look at me talking about a pre-launch for an extension that adds a πŸ‘ to an email.

I'll see you all soon, you know what to do.

Lifetime licence for early folks is generous communicate clearly what’s in Pro vs free to avoid confusion.

πŸ€”...is the image not appearing about with the Free/Pro breakdown, or is it not clear enough?
