Creately 4.0 — The new interface for work to ideate, plan, and execute

Hello Hunters 👋, In 2019 you made Creately’s relaunch the #1 Product of the day! Since then we’ve been working on some big things and today we are giddy with excitement to finally share them with the PH Community! 🤩 This launch is over 14 years in the making! We started Creately back in 2008 to build a fully visual way to work with ideas, apps, data, and docs; and while it may have been too early to introduce some of our ideas back then, but now feels like the perfect moment. So….What problems do we solve🤔? In essence we connect the dots across your company. Every idea, action, workflow, plan and doc is connected and always up-to-date, along with your other apps! Sounds ambitious… we know! And while many others claim to do the same, it usually ends up in either systems being too complex (death by forms and pages), or too restrictive or simple. Creately’s superpower is that we have an amazing smart canvas that’s backed by user defined databases. With predefined structures like Kanban boards, timelines, flowcharts, 2x2 grids and more, we have the visual tools to help you model and define whatever workflow you need in a super flexible way while still keeping the underlying data consistent. What is it now ✨ ? - 🖌️ It’s a free form canvas. You can drag, drop, draw anything there (including advanced diagramming with 1000s of templates). - 🔗 Now items on the canvas can be ‘data bound’, and the same item can be in multiple places and contexts and always stays in sync. This unlocks multi-perspective views of the same data! - 🧲I tems can be grouped, arranged and subsets can be created as needed. - 📝 Each item can have its notes. This helps you have the big picture view and then drill into the details. - 📊 Add multiple types of data to any item, from text, dates, tags and pick lists. - 🧪 Add formulas (we support over 100+ excel compatible formulas). - 🧮 Query and build calculations based on connected items. - ♾️ Assign multiple workflow roles. - 👁️ Manage all your work from the ‘My Tasks’ view. This unlocks so many use cases like: - Ultra flexible product/ project management flow. - OKR and performance management, draw the goal tree you want and updates will keep everything in sync. - Process mapping and flowcharts with data-fields! - Kanban boards, Timelines and 2x2 prioritization grids. We know, that’s a lot to take in. But essentially Creately has the tools and means to build ‘visual apps’, that work on the canvas. On top of that, you can bring in data from other systems with 2 way sync! Changes you make on the canvas are reflected back on the data source . We have GitHub in production now and during April we will be releasing Google Sheets, JIRA, Salesforce and BambooHR. Simply put, Creately is the most flexible way to build a system that goes from idea to execution in a single space. By having everything organized and in a single canvas - it makes finding things, understanding context and also branching out so much easier. Creately 4.0 sounds killer! Love its look, feel & flexibility. I've worked with multiple project management & visual collaboration platforms, but these features sound tempting enough to make the switch! Congrats to @chandika and the brilliant team behind Creately 4.0 on their PH launch.

Interesting concept to organize work on a visual canvas! Seems like white boarding connected with Trello task management.

This looks so incredibly comprehensive and centralizing. I love that there’s an equal focus on de-fragmentation/unification as well as on workflow intelligence flexibility because, let’s face it: it’s not enough to bring everything together; we need systems that enable agility because they can work for each person’s style/method.

It looks interesting, do you plan to integrate with any meeting applications? Because it seems like a place where we could build systems collaboratively in an enterprise environment.

The new UI is great and much simpler to use. Been using Creately for almost a year now and this app has been quite useful in strategy visualization. The new Kanban board is a good addition which will allow seamless task tracking without having to switch to another app.

Very neat nocode mindmap I wonder if it can be integrated with realtime data sources?

Been using Creately since 2018 and I have witnessed how flexible and user-oriented they have been from there. Managing a team of any scale, resource allocation, documentation is so powerful with its new UI and toolkits. Look forward to witness more powerful capabilities in the coming future.
