I've become a bit obsessed with endpoints for getting websites to do great things without putting additional load on the servers and databases (and developers :) ). This API could be an interesting way to test and record a number of things on your site without creating additional functionality: it counts user sign-ups, and can do a number of calculations related to inventory. Anyway, it's basically an interesting approach to A/B testing.
