With Copilot, service businesses can set up a client portal, enabling clients to send messages, make payments, upload files, sign contracts, submit forms, and access custom apps — all from one unified place.
Hi everyone. Marlon here, cofounder and CEO at Copilot.
We're really excited to be back on ProductHunt, launching the 1.0 version of the product we've been working on for over two years!
Prior to Copilot, we worked at a few startups and as a result were the clients of various types of services business — marketing agencies, law firms, accounting firms, etc. Across the board we found that the user experience for us as clients was fragmented. With Copilot, we want to give service businesses a way to provide their clients a branded, unified, and delightful experience on web and mobile.
We do that by making it really easy to set up a client portal, enabling clients to send messages, make payments, upload files, sign contracts, submit forms, and access custom apps — all from one unified place.
We'd love to hear any feedback from the PH community! My team and I will be online all day to answer questions.
@marlonmisra Thanks for sharing Copilot, sounds like a great solution for service businesses. Excited to see its impact in the market and looking forward to team's engagement on ProductHunt.
@bryant_lee Hi Bryant! Thanks for your feedback ❤️ You can have one main brand per subscription, but you can also turn on Client Branding to allow clients to see their own company logo in the client experience!
If you include recurring payments, it will be a great value for SaaS software companies. Do you intend to include bitcoin payment in your billing? @marlonmisra
So impressed by what this team built. Extremely thoughtful product design all the way through makes Copilot a true pleasure to use that you almost wish it wasn't so darn efficient and streamlined so you can spend more time "using" it.
@daveyoken Hi Dave, great question: it is something on our roadmap. We currently have Zapier automations with specific triggers. Would love to gather more information on what you'd be looking for.
@marlonmisra@fan_andy Hey Andrew, thank you!!! We're super stoked to be sharing our team's fantastic work with everyone ❤️ We truly appreciate your kind words 💫
@ravi_chothani Thanks!! We believe it's really important to give businesses the flexibility to showcase their brand while making it very simple. In our latest release we added a whole new set of customization options that lets you specify more granular colors, change the font, and use a variety of images for your icon, logo, and login page.
Hey @marlonmisra and team, congratulations on the launch! The product looks great - have signed up for a trial and scheduled demo as well. Love the simplicity and ease of navigation on the website.
Looks good, and at first I thought it would be a good replacement for apps like spp and upmind, but having looked a bit closely, it doesnt look like there is a way for someone to sign up and pay before you have created an invoice? Ie, have sign up/checkout pages for a service you can embed on a site or link to?
I also noticed you are charging transaction fees also, whereas most dont. Do you intend to allow connecting own payment gateways, or do you intend insisting on your payment processing?
@populo Great points!
For some context first, we decided to built our own payments stack because it was the only way to build something truly white-label for our customers (think in-product notifications and email notifications for your clients that are consistent with all other notifications they can receive) and also because it unlocked some features that our customers really like (for example the ability to pass on payment fees to client users).
That said, we do eventually plan to let you add your own payment gateway (maybe Q3 this year). Some features will just be locked if you choose to go that path.
The use case of letting someone sign up and pay before being invited is really popular. Today one workaround we see a lot is to use another payment system and then trigger a client invite in Copilot via Zapier or API once payment is received. Next quarter we'll expose our Billing API so that you can also do the entire end-to-end flow just in Copilot.
Hope that helps!
@marlonmisra, congrats on the launch! I have like a million questions :)
We use HubSpot, Crisp (used to use Intercom), GoogleWorkspace, FeedBear and some other tools for CX. How do you bring them all together? Is it possible to do a demo? Cheers ved at leaddelta dot com
