@benln Appreciate you hunting us Ben!

Marvin Purtorab

Hey PH community! 👋 Marvin here, founder of Convergence

As a founder, I’ve always loved using existing AI tools to speed up my work but have always wished they could take action for me. With Proxy, we fix this.

Our AI Assistant empowers people to focus on what matters, by taking over tedious and repetitive every day tasks.

Quick shoutout to our amazing community that has supported us since our launch 2 weeks ago. We’ve already had 25k+ users complete 150k+ actions using Proxy.

🔥 So what's in Proxy?

AI Agent: Proxy is a state of the art ui navigating agent, meaning proxy is powered by a model that has learned how to use the web like a human would. This means proxy can get work actually done for you, not just provide information.

Tools: proxy can access all your web tools (Jira, Github etc) without needing an API integration. Just request, login and watch Proxy get stuff done.

Templates: Get inspired and kick-start actions from a template you like, while still being able to tailor it to your work.

💡 What are people using Proxy for?

People are using Proxy for 100s of use-cases, specific to their needs. Some of our favourite are:

🗞️ News - streamlining my morning news and helping me understand what’s relevant to me without surfing multiple websites and publications.

💖 Socia Media - tracking mentions of their product or other relevant topics and automatically crafting thoughtful replies.

🎯 Outbound sales - instead of using complicated AI SDR tools, Proxy can go find your target audience on LinkedIn and message them in minutes.

🔎 Job searches - finding relevant jobs across remote and various geographies, so I don’t need to browse linkedin

🤖 Engineering Reviews: summarising open PRs, changes and helping me keep

Ayman El Mezgueldi

@marvin_purtorab We made Proxy free to start because we believe everyone should have access to powerful AI automation. Whether you're a founder, freelancer, or just someone with too many tabs open, Proxy can help you reclaim your time and focus on what matters most. One agent to rule them all.

Tanmay Jain

@marvin_purtorab thanks, it's been great to push the boundaries of what we can achieve with AI. I can't wait to see what the Product Hunt community uses it for!

Ronan Chambers

@marvin_purtorab We've spent months fine-tuning Proxy to be the most capable AND accessible web-browsing agent globally - excited to hear what everyone thinks!

Michael Bajwa

@marvin_purtorab Building Proxy has been about pushing beyond what people expect from AI. Every feature we've crafted is designed to teach users that AI assistants can do more than generate text - they can take meaningful action. We're not just shipping another AI product, we're helping define what the next generation of AI tools should look like: more capable, more autonomous, and focused on actually getting things done. This is just the beginning.

Kalim Nixon

@marvin_purtorab fantastic product that’s evolving every day. Changing how people use AI within their daily lives, so many tasks just got a whole lot easier.

André J

I signed up. But I dont immediately understand how this works. How to I interact with the slack app for instance?

Tanmay Jain

@sentry_co taking a look now, thanks for the feedback! Will reply back once we've resolved the issue!

Marvin Purtorab

@sentry_co Hey, just tell proxy to go to slack.com/signin! It should ask you login and open a browser based instance of slack!

André J

@marvin_purtorab Really nice. Altho, please make this a chrome plugin instead of a virtual machine. that way, my credentials stays on my machine. I cant hand over my credentials to a virtual machine. That would be negligence on so many levels on my part if something where to leak / get hacked etc. But for stuff that doesnt require logging in, this looks like the future! 🥰

Marvin Purtorab

@sentry_co Stay tuned for a new release very soon... think youll like it ;)

Marvin Purtorab

@sentry_co A lot of people are requesting this.. guess we will have to make this ! Will probably happen.

Andy Toulis

Hey gang, we're super excited to be launching today!

Over the last few weeks, we've been working hard to improve Proxy:

  • Autonomy: Proxy solves problems more deeply, and is better at handling open-ended tasks

  • Resilience: Proxy recovers more often when encountering challenges on the web

  • Working with Proxy: Proxy now securely gathers credentials, saving effort and time

  • Automations: you can now edit automations, adjusting their prompts and timings

We're hungry for feedback, and can't wait to empower you with your own AI workers.

Ronan Chambers

@andy_toulis Lets goooo!

Tanmay Jain

@andy_toulis awesome stuff! Can't wait mate!

Fai Tung

@andy_toulis When I tasked Proxy to log into my email, it asked me about my password. How would it handle these sensitive information? I know the website said don't give Proxy passwords, is there a way to take over and login myself like what Open AI does?

Andy Toulis

@fai_tung Yes, there is a way to takeover directly: the "Enter browser" button beside the send message button

The credentials form is separate from Proxy's AI agent. Using this form will directly type your credentials into the browser, securely without the agent ever seeing them. An easy way to test is to just ask Proxy: what were the credentials I just typed in? (it has no idea)

We just added this new credentials form feature, and we need to make it easier for people to understand, as well as building trust around it. Thank you for your feedback!

Fai Tung

@andy_toulis Nice! Thanks!

James Wise

Enjoyed being a beta-tester and now a power user! Giving it ability to navigate and organise your calendar is a 10x productivity hack.

Tanmay Jain

@jp_wise thanks for all the amazing feedback you've provided, it's helped us shape the product and this launch

Ronan Chambers

@jp_wise @tanmay_jain_ Thanks for your help on this James!

Ayman El Mezgueldi

@jp_wise Thanks for being such a big help on this!

Marvin Purtorab

@jp_wise the goated beta tester from day 1

André J

🤩 Really impressive! After trying it a bit, i'm already addicted. 😅 What's the pricing going to be like?

Tanmay Jain

@sentry_co it's free to start and $20/month or $200/year for more scheduled automations

André J

The scheduled automations would be gold! How do I set them up? I cant find the option to schedule tasks. Or does it only show up after signing up for pro?

Andy Toulis

@sentry_co so after your task "completes" you will have the ability to turn the task into an automation. let me know if you need help setting that up!

André J

@andy_toulis After using proxy for a few things. I found that it often times out. And gets stuck. Even for simple things like signing up to a newsletter. Or finding social media accounts on a landingpage. But its great start! Looking forward to the next iteration of Proxy. This is definitely something im going to use soon!

Julia Chelaru

I found it very helpful in saving time with monotonous tasks (like checking multiple websites daily for news and sending me a summary). Best thing is that it keeps getting better every day.

Ronan Chambers

@jjchels Glad to hear you've enjoyed using it Julia!

Tanmay Jain

@jjchels cheers! It's been great to get your feedback as we've shaped the product.

Maria Anosova 🔥

Intersting project and awesome landing page! Good luck

Michael Bajwa

@zanna_s Thank yon Zanna! We have an incredibly talented designer amongst our ranks!

Tanmay Jain

@zanna_s thanks, have you given it a try yet?

Ronan Chambers

@zanna_s Our Lead designer is the KING!

Fraser

So excited to see this!!

Tanmay Jain

@frasergreenlee1 thanks! Send over any feedback!

Shivam Singh

This is exactly the kind of AI assistant everyone has been waiting for, one that doesn’t just generate text but actually gets things done. The fact that Proxy can navigate the web like a human, without needing API integrations, is what makes it different in the space of automation. Curious to see how people push its limits, especially in automation-heavy workflows.

Congrats on the launch!

Best wishes and sending lots of wins to the team :) @marvin_purtorab

Ronan Chambers

@marvin_purtorab @whatshivamdo Glad your enjoying it!!!!

Tanmay Jain

@marvin_purtorab @whatshivamdo thanks so much, would love if you could share any feedback!

Xenia
Launching soon!

Hey Marvin, this sounds incredible! I love the idea of Proxy handling repetitive tasks across various platforms. The ability to get actual work done rather than just gathering info is a game-changer. 🚀

I'm especially excited about the integration with tools like Jira and GitHub without needing extra API work—it's a big win for people who just want things to flow without unnecessary friction.

The use-cases you mentioned—like job searches and outbound sales—are on point. Could definitely see it saving a ton of time there.

For me, I'm curious about how Proxy handles custom workflows. Are there ways to integrate more niche tools or workflows into the system, or is it mainly geared toward the big, established platforms for now?

Can't wait to see how Proxy evolves! Keep up the awesome work. 💥

Tanmay Jain

@xenia1234 thanks! It can work across any webpage so that it means it can access any tool without any extra work!

Ronan Chambers

@xenia1234 @tanmay_jain_ Thanks Xenia - glad to hear you're enjoying Proxy :) Let us know if you have any more questions - here to help!

It's geared towards any software that can be housed in a browser - you just log in!

Xenia
Launching soon!

@tanmay_jain_ @ronan_chambers Thanks for the info! That sounds super convenient—just logging in and being ready to go is a big win. I’ll definitely reach out if I have any more questions as I dive deeper into it. Appreciate the support!

Kay Kwak
Launching soon!

Proxy appears to integrate functionalities from various products into one. Quite an interesting concept! I was just recently looking for something like this. Will try it out!

Tanmay Jain

@kay_arkain awesome, please share feedback. The team is here all day to make things work!

Andy Toulis

@kay_arkain Love to hear it!

I love that Proxy doesn’t require API integrations to interact with web tools like LinkedIn and Gmail. This makes it much more flexible than AI SDR tools that need heavy setups.

Ayman El Mezgueldi

@hamza_afzal_butt Glad you're enjoying Proxy! Created any templates yet?

Tanmay Jain

@hamza_afzal_butt definitely, we want to unlock everyone's potential

Sun Xin

Great work! I also had a similar idea, but you have already implemented it very well.

Tanmay Jain

@sun_xin thanks, any feedback?

Jason Yu

@benln @tanmay_jain_ Proxy sounds like a major productivity booster!

The fact that it actually takes action, not just provides info, is a huge step beyond most AI assistants. I love the idea of skipping API integrations and just having it interact with web tools like a human.

Tanmay Jain

@benln @kui_jason thanks so much, would love any feedback!

Mayur Jobanputra

Tried agents for the first time tonight.. had it research for me. Great XP. Thanks for making my 1st time having an agent go off and do useful stuff a great xp!

Tanmay Jain

@mayuronph awesome, what prompt did you use?

mahyar hsh

Congrats on the launch! Useful idea!

Tanmay Jain

@mahyar_hsh thanks so much! Have you had a chance to use it yet?

Sam @CRANQ

Finally, I've had like 5 AI assistants who have been lazy & I want the one which is actually going to stick around :)

Can't believe that it's going to be clicking, scrolling & navigating.

Nothing worse than things which don't take action, so I'm glad to see you're sorting that!!

Best of luck team!

Tanmay Jain

@cranqnow thanks so much, send over any feedback please!

Gabriel L. Manor

Proxy is bridging the gap between AI info providers and actual task automation, refreshing to see an agent that navigates the web like a human. Excited to see how people leverage it for everything from outbound sales to engineering workflows!

Ayman El Mezgueldi

@gemanor Thanks for the feedback! Has Proxy been able to take anything of your plate yet?

Tanmay Jain

@gemanor thanks so much!
