Join us on Product Hunt as we unveil this exciting feature!
π Hello Product Hunt Community!
Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey. Your feedback has been invaluable in shaping Commented into what it is today.
We're thrilled to announce the release of our most requested feature:
Public commenting. This feature will revolutionize the way you collaborate, making commenting more transparent and actionable. You no longer need your clients to have an account or sign up to comment, which will make things a lot easier. π
In addition to Public commenting, we've also introduced robust task management features to help you track comments more efficiently. Task management offers a variety of options to categorize and track your comments within your team. Assign comments, set priority levels, change statuses, and add labels. π
Our new integrations with Jira, Asana, and others streamline your workflow even further. Many more integrations are on the way! π
We've also updated our Mobile SDK with a video recording option for comments, making it easier than ever to provide detailed feedback on the go. Now, you can view the comments list and details right in your own product with Mobile SDK. π±
Since our last launch, we've been hard at work improving Commented and adding a host of new features based on your suggestions. We invite you to try out these new features and share your feedback with us. π¬
As a token of our appreciation, here's a special discount code which will be active during our launch: PRODUCTHUNT40. π
Thank you once again for your support. π We can't wait to hear what you think!
Happy commenting! π

@fscholz Thanks so much! We're really excited about the launch and glad you like the public comments feature. Agreed, having to sign up is such a pain, so we wanted to make it easy for anyone to share their thoughts and feedback.
@isatanis@fscholz yeah I think this feature is what users requested more. It's a great way to gather a bunch of users into one page and collect their comments in a blow.
@fscholz I saw the launch of Fynk, couldn't see much due to the coming soon page, but a notification is a must if you can remove some of the tedious bureaucracy from our desks. Can't wait for platforms to handle everything automatically.
What do you think of my platform? Our mission is to help brands and creators significantly increase audience engagement on social media through gamification mechanics and social farming, leveraging competition, rewards, and visibility as motivators.
@isatanis@max_savonin1 Hey there Max! Thank you so much for your kind words and for your interest in Commented's Public Commenting feature!
Regarding your questions:
- Currently, team members can't control the visibility of specific comments for clients within the public commenting system. However, we're continuously working on improving our features based on user feedback, so we'll definitely consider this for future updates. However, you can create a different project for internal communication so you can have two projects for the same URL.
- At the moment, clients are not notified about specific comments or threads within the public commenting interface. This is another great suggestion that we'll keep in mind as we continue to enhance the user experience. You need add your client as a Guest or Member in order them to track conversations.
Your feedback and suggestions are invaluable to us as we strive to make Commented the best collaboration tool possible. We'll definitely take your suggestions into consideration as we work on future updates. Thank you for your support, and we can't wait for you to try out the new features!

@sentry_co Commented revolutionizes collaboration by centralizing feedback, enhancing communication on web projects and mobile applications. With intuitive features like annotation tools, AI enhancements, and seamless integrations, it empowers teams to work smarter and achieve their goals more efficiently. Currently we have launched our new features including public commenting in which users can collaborate without signing up.
@sentry_co Let me explain. Disqus gives you the ability to comment under the blog or a post etc. Commented gives you the ability to talk and discuss in a pinpointed way like sticky notes. Commented is just like commenting in design tools but Commented gives that commenting power on real webpages, websites and mobile applications. Is this an answer to your question?
Excellent job Isa! Luckily, many companies understood that collective feedback is something super powerful regarding to build a community. And your solution will be really useful in that way. Wish you all the best on this impressive launch!
@german_merlo1 Thank you! We're so happy you see the value in collective feedback and building a community. We're excited for this launch and appreciate your support!

@erdogany It's great to hear your enthusiasm! We're continuously working to enhance the product and provide even more value to our users. Stay tuned for exciting updates and improvements!
Seems like a really cool collaboration tool for teams but I can also see a lot of value here for solo developers to keep track of important notes on projects.
Couple of notes/questions here:
- The site itself is full of information for digging deeper into the specific angle a user might be interested in, I like that.
- I see that notifications of these conversations can be sent to slack amongst others. Is there any timeline for when JIRA (everyoneβs favourite tool π€£ ) will be intergrated? That would be incredibly persuasive for me personally to buy the product. If I can link a JIRA ticket within the note, and then the note is added as a comment to the ticket that would be incredible.
- If I install the browser extension can that be used on an unlimited number of sites? And does the tool keep track of each exact url that I am commenting on automatically?
- Can this be used within a figma design too?
- Is there a portal within Commented itself where all of my notes are stored? Can these notes be exported externally to something like Evernote/Notion in bulk on a regular basis?
Congrats on the launch guys this looks like a tool I will be excited to try out and hopefully implement into my workflow!
congratulations isa, alara, hakan, and serkan on the launch of public commenting by commented. it's intriguing to see innovations that streamline workflows and enhance team collaboration. the integration feature with platforms like jira and asana certainly stands out as a pivotal improvement for project management. can you elaborate on how comment tracking and task management within commented has improved with these new updates, particularly in terms of user experience enhancements or efficiency boosts? your effort to make feedback more accessible is quite commendable, and i am curious to see how these changes impact daily operations for your users.
@mashy Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and kind words Albert! We're thrilled to hear that you're excited about the launch.
Regarding your question:
As you can see in our interactive roadmap where we let our users and followers to add their suggestions and requests and also upvote the ideas, Public commenting was the most requested feature. Based on that feedback we come up with the latest updates. This means that easier collaboration with external stakeholders, such as clients, partners, or customers. They don't have to worry about creating account or logging in to their account to leave comments for their projects. They can just type their name and leave comments on the digital product they are working. This additional steps such as signing up or logging in is removed from the flow which means a time efficiency for both sides. And on top of that all, you don't have to struggle receiving feedback since it is working on your product anyway. The conversations are right where they are belong to with pin-point commenting.
After you receive feedback from your clients, it time for changes and improvements. That's where teams need a task management tool. We already have great integrations but if you want to keep everything in one place, you can do most of the things that task management tools can do with Commented. That also means one less app on your stack to jump between when working.
We are receiving a lot of great feedback from our users about how Commented improved their feedback and product development process. I hope I was able to answer your question. We will keep improving and finding solutions for our users to make Commented even greater so stay tuned for more updates :)
Wow, this looks incredible!

Well done, Commented team!
π Exciting update, Commented team! Public commenting sounds like a game-changer for client collaboration, making the process seamless and more inclusive. The no-signup feature is particularly appealing, as it lowers the barriers for feedback. The addition of task management and integrations with tools like Jira and Asana should significantly streamline workflows. I'm also curious about the new video recording feature in the Mobile SDKβthis could really enhance the quality of feedback. Can't wait to integrate these features into our processes. Congrats on this release, and here's to more innovative updates! π
