Postpone the launch or ship now? One feature stands in the way
Hey Product Hunters!
I launched the MVP of CommandChronicles at the end of June — a secure, searchable, project-aware CLI command history manager that syncs across machines. Since then, I’ve been building non-stop, iterating daily based on early feedback.
Now I’m at a crossroads.
I’m preparing for the official Product Hunt launch, but I’m torn:
Should I launch now to collect feedback early — or wait one more week to include a killer feature?
The feature:
Fine-grained file & directory sharing, CLI-native and blazing fast. Think:
“I want this file on my work laptop, but not on my home desktop.”
Unlike bloated sync tools, it’s:
• 🔒 Privacy-first & zero-knowledge
• ⚡ 10x lighter on bandwidth
• 💻 Built natively for the terminal
But delaying means more building, less feedback… and I don’t want to miss the opportunity to involve real users now.
So I’m asking you:
Would you launch now, or wait to include this new feature?
Your thoughts would really help shape the direction. 🙏
