CloudMagic is now Newton and they say it's a BIG change! Tough competition in this space... big one that made a big splash here is obviously Polymail Walk us through the big changes/rebrand etc etc :)

I'm really surprised about the lack of interaction from the makers here. @rohitnadhani can we PLEASE see a dark mode / dark theme in Newton anytime soon?

Most of these integrations and features already exist either natively or with free plugins... Also the terminology is just plain misleading... "Sender Profile" Do you mean contact? Like the contacts app that I have? Also IFTTT has several times the number of integrations and is free...

Purchased desktop and mobile versions. Been my preferred client but as of today will stop using. Can't see them surviving - I know they've got to keep the lights on but this is a ridiculously high cost.

Huge fan of CloudMagic. It has been my main client on iPhone and OSx for over a year. Switching early adopters to a $50 a year subscription plan (granted with the first year free) after already purchasing the app just seems wrong. I hope they change their approach.

I realise there has been some kerfuffle over the new annual subscription model, and whilst I get that, it's not a dealbreaker for me; We're in a subscription age. I wanted to raise a couple things to the attention of @rohitnadhani. 1) Your app was displaying faulty discounts to me eg it was saying "Get 20% off - Usually £39.99 now £36.98" I'm sure you'll note that that isn't 20%. I contacted your customer service and was told that this was because the developers couldn't make it work in my currency (I'm in the UK). Apparently it works everywhere else in the world, but for some reason basic arithmetic in Scotland is different to the rest of the world. You may want to get that looked at (I have the email chain if you're interested). 2) My second point is that several days later I was offered 50% discount. Again, the sums were wrong but I was willing to buy at that point. However the offer came in around Christmas time and I was busy. I missed my window and the offer passed (it was a 24 hour offer if memory serves). Anyway Christmas is over and I now want to give your company my money. I emailed customer support and asked if I could now take advantage of the 50% offer that I had missed. I was just told pretty blankly that I couldn't. And here's my dilemma. I want to use your app, but I want the best price you offered me, and I won't pay more than that. Is this my fault for missing the window of the offer, maybe. Could your customer service people be better, definitely. I think most people will agree that point two is my tough luck, but I did want to raise point one with you as that just doesn't inspire confidence in your product. Thanks :-)

I've been an advocate of the product for a long time (last time last night, how funny is that) and a user for even longer, if I had to sum it up: it just works. iOS, MacOS, Android, Apple Watch, doesn't matter the platform, it works, in sync, and that's a huge thing when handling multiple inboxes (both work and personal ones even). And for that, thank you, great UX! Thank you for offering me a year of subscription as a recognition of that long time I've used it (and paid for it back in the day). But for anyone picking it up today, 50$ USD per year is a hefty price. It depicts a trend that I don't approve of in the tech industry: continuously switching to subscription based models, I get it is an added value to the company, on multiple levels, but it doesn't feel like the consumer is really getting a product, simply a provided-as-you-pay service. And that's a shame. My 2 cents.

Extremely reliable and fast email client. This team deserve each penny of yearly subscription. I know that it looks overpriced but after 4 days of trial, I decide to buy yearly.

Sorry that I've ditched this app a while ago once they asked payment for the features they should already have built in, though I paid for the app.. ı had send my feedback then and I still see them having the same strategy. This was the best choice fır me once the mailbox had gone. Now using polymail and I'm happy with that though it's bulky. Airmail is another bulky alternative with no 'read' feature. Good luck cloudmail. I'm paying fot many things online but if I didnt pay for once for your app expecting more to come, I would may be buy this. Still with most alternatives that are free, this is definitely a buy for me

I just want to say, "Unsubscribe now" is the best feature ever. :) I don't need to go from one page to another in order to unsubscribe a newsletter service. A single click is enough. ;)

I bought CloudMagic Mac app for $20 and it was pricey comparing to other mail apps. And now you ask me to pay $50 per year?

App is still missing basic features like labels or save as for downloading attachments. Whereas other unnecessary and additionally paid features were added (i.e. sender profile)

This is exactly what Outlook should be / have been: no bloat, solid integration with 3rd-party services, keyboard shortcuts, and beautiful (in its' simplicity). It's definitely worth the annual cost, in my opinion. The only 'major' thing I'd want to see added would be a calendar but, even then, I'm tempted to just let that live separately — depending on the strengths and functionality of a separate calendar product — as I fear an addition like that would ruin the swiftness and aesthetic that Newton currently offers.

I'm so gutted and so bummed that Newton is shutting down (https://blog.newtonhq.com/goodby...). I switched from Polymail because its GUI on Mac was buggy. Then with Newton I discovered Snoozing (inc. Snooze to Desktop) which took my email workflow to a new level. Now I rely on Read Receipts, Send Later and Snooze to Desktop as part of my workflow. But now Newton is shutting down and there's no product that I can use for what has become my workflow. Gutted. I would love to know the empirical economics behind the shutdown decision. Charge people more if you have to, but don't shutdown and waste all that time and work! I just don't get it. @RohitNadhani, why are you doing this to us, dude? If Polymail can find a model, you can too! I would pay more than the current annual subscription price, and looking at the comments on your Medium post others would too.

I loved the app and felt it was worth $50 per year. Then, Cloud Magic announced Newton was suddenly shutting down. The app is still available, but my email stopped syncing in August. However, support has disappeared without any updates on the refund they promised, which requested. No way I would recommend this app. Go with Mailspring for Windows and Mac and Edison Mail for iOS and Android.
