Clash App - Shoot videos and send drops

Excited to be hunting Clash App today. What Brendon, PJ and team are building streamlines and democratizes the content creation and compensation ecosystems for all and creates better communities for creators.

After years of working in the influencer space, it’s so obvious to me how Clash is the future for the creator economy.

To the great @alexisohanian - Thank you so much for hunting us 🙏 Back in 2019 @brendonmcnerney and I started working on a short form video app for creators in a coffee shop and we’ve since gone on to raise capital, soft release a beta version, acquire our closest competitor byte, and build an incredible team and workspace. But today - we launch 🚀 iOS today and Android in the coming weeks. At Clash, we’re pioneering a digital economy of recognition via an in-app digital good called “drops.” Drops are used to support your favorite creators to keep them creating and earning sustainable revenue. While many of the top famous creators we follow on IG, TikTok etc do earn handsomely (mainly from sponsored brand deals and ad rev share) the majority of creators (like 98% of them) struggle to earn a living creating. We aim to change that. The way Uber/Lyft/DoorDash make it possible to work for yourself “the gig economy” - we envision the same for creators “the creator economy.” So download Clash, shoot some videos, send some drops, earn some drops, and be part of the future. ps - We’re giving away free drops to our early users. So just make sure you download the app, claim your free drops, find a creator *or* content you love - and give them away! Send drops - it feels good to support.

Received an early access invite - exceptional community team that is really vested in creator success. Their approach to support is frustratingly simple, so much so that I’ve wondered why someone hasn’t built it yet. The app itself is sleek and minimal. Lacks some of the more robust features of the other mainstream social apps but that is to be expected from an emerging company.

I’ve been a supporter of Clash since day 1 and I’m so glad to see this come to launch! I love the minimal approach to the application and the unique approach to supporting creators during this paradigm shift in influential power. Kudos to the Clash team. Excited to see where this leads!
