ChatGPT search extension — Change default search engine to ChatGPT
The extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome search bar. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.
You can still do a Google search with "!g [your query]".

I just discovered a new launch by OpenAI to make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome ✨ (I'm obviously just the hunter, not the maker, but the new feature is awesome and wanted to share with the PH community)
The extension lets you search directly from your URL bar with ChatGPT. Now, instead of bouncing between search engines, you can ask ChatGPT search anything right from your browser search tab.
You also can always do an easy Google redirect. Just type !g [your search] and you’re there.
Right now, it’s only for Plus, Team, and SearchGPT waitlist users.

We can already change default browser on most of the browser. What’s the utility of this product?
@tetyemezz at least on my browser I didn't have the option to set ChatGPT as search engine and now I can use ChatGPT + Google search easy at the same time. It's speeding up my workflows.
@luisrieke for easily switch on/off it make sense. Once I used perplexity as a search engine, it was great experience
