I love the idea of a universal shopping cart built in the browser...! Connect this to crypto checkout and it's a homerun! 🥕
Ramin Bozorgzadeh
@chrismessina damn, cryptocart.com is taken! but you may be on to something ;-)

@ramincarrot Scrolled through the posts and may have missed this question if it's been asked: I signed up using my Google account but I have two accounts, one for work and one for home, that I use. In some cases, I have services attached to my work address, e.g. Amazon Prime that I use for both work and home and vice-versa. Does Carrot allow you to add more than one Google account? I did sign up and didn't see a method to do this.
Ramin Bozorgzadeh
hi @scottwwilliams, we don't currently allow you to use multiple google accounts on the same Carrot account (each one will create a new account.) But it shouldn't matter which google account you use, as long as you are logged in using the same one on the browser that you are using to shop. If you accidentally created an account using one google account (and claimed a username that you want to re-use), we can fix that for you. Shoot me an email at ramin@addtocarrot.com and we can sort it out for you.
Scott Williams
Makes perfect sense. I just logged back in and was able to claim my username so all is good. Thanks for the quick response!
Ramin Bozorgzadeh
@scottwwilliams Awesome. glad it worked out

Proud to say I'm used 100 from the Carrot alpha. I love this product. It feels like this is how shopping on the internet should always have worked.
Russell Barnard
@treggify Great to have you onboard! 😁 would love to know how long it took to adapt to using Carrot when shopping (or if you had to change at all)
Tregg
@russellbarnard Honestly it was pretty instant. I've been chatting in the Slack for a good while and it's been cool to see it grow over this short time.

Carrot is one of those products that beg the question “Why did it take someone so long to build this?” It’s an incredibly helpful and powerful tool that’s been designed to work effortlessly and has one of the best onboarding experiences I’ve seen in a long time. Congrats Ramin, Bobby and team!
Ramin Bozorgzadeh
@kessler To be fair, it didn't take us _that_ long to build ;-) jk jk, we're nowhere near finished!
Bobby Ghoshal
Hiya fellow product hunters, welcome to Carrot’s beta, you can download the extension at https://www.addtocarrot.com For some people, shopping online is easy. But for most of us, it’s kind of a mess. You start carts, then forget where they are. You send yourself emails or texts with links to products you want to buy, then lose track of those too. You keep a million tabs open while you’re looking for something (the perfect sweater, an ergonomic office chair, home decor that pops...), and if even just one of them gets closed before you’re ready to buy, it’s a disaster. 🥴 We built Carrot to make this problem go away. It’s a free extension that works across 500,000+ stores, from big-name brands like Etsy and Target to gems you haven’t discovered yet — and it’s guaranteed to make shopping less stressful and more fun. *** Here’s 8 things Carrot can do for you right now *** 1. Carrot finds your open carts from all around the web. It happens as soon as you install the extension, and it’s pretty much magic. Can you remember all the carts you’ve started? We can’t either. But then Carrot does its cart-finding thing, and just like that, all your carts are in one place. (Oh right, those sneakers!) 🛒 2. Then, it automatically collects your carts as you shop. We repeat: automatically. The way it works is simple: You add products to your cart, your cart is saved to Carrot. Which means you never have to worry about losing things from your carts ever again. 🛍 3. Saving for later is simple. Carrot is also perfect for saving products you aren’t quite ready to add to cart right now, but want to keep an eye on for later. Stumbled across something you love? Just right-click to add it to Carrot. ✅ 4. Returning to carts is a snap. How many times have you finally decided to pull the trigger on a purchase, then had trouble finding your way back to the site? With Carrot, everything you want is saved right there in the extension — so checkout is always just one click away. 🤩 5. You can organize products and carts into collections. And you can use those collections for anything. Window shopping for the future. Collaborating on home projects with your partner. Travel shopping. Wish lists. Gift lists. With Carrot, creating groups of products is easy — no spreadsheet gymnastics required. Any collection can also be converted into a gift-able registry that you can share with family and friends. 🙌 6. Shareable links make it simple to get input from family and friends. You know who likes getting sent a million different screenshots of products? No one. But asking people for their opinion is one of the most important parts of shopping, and with links to carts and collections, you can send everything you’re wondering about at once, with just one link. 🔗 7. Comparing products has never been easier. Carrot puts products from all around the web into a single, beautiful feed. With all your carts in the same place, it’s so easy to compare products visually and by price. 💄 8. Get alerted to price drops without lifting a finger. Carrot knows the products you want to buy and will alert you to meaningful drops in price the moment it detects one. This price drop will find you, you won’t need to do a thing. 💸 We made Carrot because we love the hunt for great products and we love to shop. If you’re like us, we think you’ll really enjoy using Carrot with us. We look forward to seeing you in the product. Finally, a big thank you to @chrismessina for hunting Carrot for us, today. 🥕🥰

Until today, I didn't know that I needed such an extension for my browser. Cool idea and implementation!
Ramin Bozorgzadeh
@alexander_borsuk thanks for the support! we hope you find good use out of it
Creeshla
I’ve been using Carrot for a few months and it has started to change the way I shop - for one I don’t have loads of tabs open all the time anymore. Also love the gift registry feature it’s come in very handy in the lead up to Christmas! 🥰
Ramin Bozorgzadeh
@creeshla hope Carrot helped you get a nice gift this year!

I can’t believe an extension like this didn’t exist before. Carrot has unified the fractured process of online shopping. I once felt overwhelmed by the chaos of screenshots, physical and digital notes, tabs, and messages to myself; however, Carrot removed my e-commerce anxiety. Since the summer, I’ve been an alpha tester, and the extension has gotten better literally every week since. One of its founders is a genuinely receptive designer who encourages user feedback. The other founder leads their engineering team to deliver updates swiftly based on that input. My suggestions for improvement always go heard. Carrot is THIS great, and it’s only the beginning? Yup, it’s like magic. Be the friend who gets bragging rights for showing your other friends Carrot.
Ramin Bozorgzadeh
@david_luft we appreciate all of the support and feedback you've given us so far as such an engaged alpha user. its made the product 100x better and we're only getting started!

@ramincarrot Thanks for creating this powerful tool! I'm always happy to share my thoughts with the team,

When Bobby first came to me with the beginnings of this idea, it took me a while to “get it”, mainly b/c I am not the type of shopper with a lot of open tabs etc. But i was surprised to find out how often I would lose items and carts by day to day distractions (father to two little kids, so it gets a bit crazy these days - specially working from home) Carrot has helped me personally become a “better shopper”. i do less impulse shopping b/c i know i can go back to those products later and buy them when ready. that’s been the biggest win for me personally. just wanted to share that little anecdote as i feel there are others who can relate
Bobby Ghoshal
@ramincarrot I LOVE YOU RAMIN.
Carter Reum
absolutely LOVE! No more multiple windows open, forgetting stuff in cart and all the other hassles. It was so helpful to share lists with my wife around our wedding and as we plan to decorate our new house!
Ramin Bozorgzadeh
@carter_reum1 Congratulations! Glad Carrot is proving helpful
Bobby Ghoshal
@carter_reum1 Why thank you, Carter! Would that wife be Paris Hilton by chance? ;)
Ben Blumenrose
Carrot does so many helpful things that seem so obvious once you use the - e.g. help me share a cart to get quick input from family/friends, turn a group of items into a registry with one click (e.g. send family a quick list of things they can buy a young kid for the holidays), etc. And the team is just getting started and ships crazy fast. Good stuff y'all.
Ramin Bozorgzadeh
@ben_blumenfeld thanks for the support! wait 'til you see what we've got cooking for next year!
Sarah Marandi
I love this!!! I like millions of millennials suffer from extreme FOMO. I am someone who gets so overwhelmed by searching the web only to find I have 79 tabs of different sweaters open… then backpedaling trying to remember which one was “the one” I wanted is exhausting. So then I just entirely give up and start the whole process again some days later. But thank God for CARROT as it is ABSOLUTELY REVOLUTIONARY. Now I can save the sweater and what’s even cooler???? It’s SAVED AND CATEGORIZED? GENIUS!!!! Not just some silly saved for later tab with a bunch of junk in it. Actually categorized…. Automatically. I love everything about this feature. I’m excited about it. My friends are excited about it. Carrot will really will save me so much time (and money) allowing me to get back to the important stuff in life …. Like actually enjoying the sweater.
Ramin Bozorgzadeh
@sarah_marandi we feel your pain. glad to hear Carrot is helping :)
Bobby Ghoshal
@sarah_marandi Yes Sarah!! It's amazing to hear why you love the product, it's simple and powerful and made for people just like you and me. thank you for showing support
Cristina Mejia
I can’t live without it now that I have it. I love carrot for all kinds of shopping and it makes so easy to share shopping lists. While remodeling the house it was great to have a collection of links for each room, during Christmas I have used it to make numerous wish lists that are easily shareable, and it has helped me to get an eagles eye view of all my shopping, many times helping me to avoid buying the same thing twice! I love that it’s an automatic feature and i don’t have to manually input the links … if it’s in a cart I know it’s in my carrot!
Ramin Bozorgzadeh
@cristina_mejia Carrot won't let you down. Shop with ease of mind
Bobby Ghoshal
@cristina_mejia it was made for all those holiday shopping hassles! so glad it fit into your life at the right time
Ricky Synnot

Bobby Ghoshal
@rickysynnot can't wait to bring it to the aussies, honestly, think yall will love this
Nick Simpson
I love Carrot! 🥕🥕🥕 Not only just for personal use for saving items in one place. The fact that I can build and share carts for recommendations is incredible. Shopping carts are so challenging for influencers and this just makes so much sense.
Bobby Ghoshal
@itsnicksimpson thank you kindly good sir, you are an amazing user to have in our community
Joseph Kim
It's hard to believe, in the year 2021, that I'm still creating shopping wish lists in my Notes app across all of my devices. Can't wait to get off the waitlist and try Carrot out.
Russell Barnard
@josephkim feel free to drop me an email ( rusty@addtocarrot.com ) let's see if we can get you off the waitlist faster. 🚀
Ramin Bozorgzadeh
@josephkim if you visit addtocarrot.com on Chrome (or Brave) on your desktop browser, you should be able to just sign up. No waitlist. The waitlist is for mobile (something we are actively working on)
