Hello Product Hunt! The team at Pathrise is so excited to launch the Career Connect extension, our first free product. Over the last 6 years, Pathrise has helped over 2400 job seekers land new roles. We’ve learned that nothing improves interviews rates more than strategic outreach to company insiders. Career Connect solves the hardest parts of outreach for job seekers: Finding the right contact to email and customizing the email message to optimize your chances of getting an interview, all with just a few clicks. Now you can send effective emails within a tenth of the time. Since launching Career Connect internally to our paid user base, our users have easily doubled their outreach volume. @cory_higgins It looks like they are, because the email button says send from Gmail, but I'm not sure.

@cory_higgins, you're right. Emails will be sent directly from your Gmail inbox. Our data shows that emails sent this way tend to have higher response rates, as recipients see they're coming directly from you. To enable this, you must grant Career Connect explicit permission to send emails on your behalf. Happy networking!

This has been the culmination of a yearlong effort to build SaaS tools that consistently boost application-to-interview conversion rates. There were multiple different services that needed to be built in order to create this product, including: - A neural engine built from the ground up to identify and rank ideal contacts for cold outreach - A GPT-powered content generator to craft the perfect cold outreach email, given your resume and the job description - Custom code for company name to domain resolution - Mailer service using Google OAuth (took a year to get approved) - Building custom web scrapers for the top 10 job boards (and continually updating them as the sites change) Super fun project to work on, happy to see it through. This team was great to work with and I'm excited to see what they build next!

I'm excited to put this free product out into the world! It was such a blast to build. In the 5 years I've spent at Pathrise, it's always been clear to me that the number one problem with job searching is how time consuming it is. When done right, job searching can be a full-time job. In the current world of tech, most job seekers must treat their search like sales by developing strong prospecting strategies and custom pitches. Career Connect does this hard work for you. @techguy557 We find contact information through a variety of sources including our own proprietary database and third-party sales intelligence services like Apollo. Career Connect also analyzes job descriptions to identify members of the hiring team, when available. We’re always looking for ways to improve the relevance and accuracy of contacts we provide. @techguy557 here are a few other notes on the contact finder feature: * Users can "thumbs up" contacts they find relevant * Career Connect includes the functionality to add your own contact if none of the ones shown are relevant for you * We choose which contacts to show based on factors like company size (e.g. messaging a CEO of an early stage startup can be a great tactic whereas it would obviously be a waste of time at a massive company like Amazon) Hope that helps!

Congrats on the launch! I feel like a lot of savvy job seekers use AI in their search and also use tools to identify contact information, but this makes things so drop-dead simple and I love it so much. It would be super awesome if if could also surface or try to find emails of 1st and 2nd degree connections based on Linkedin, but this is still amazing. Great job guys!

@rachelle_gupta1 Yess love this idea, Rachelle. I'm hoping in a future iteration of the product we can also use connections to enhance the messaging content. For example, allowing users to input custom variables like "shared hobbies," "went to the same school," "both veterans," etc. The job search is so much more effective when you can connect with people as real humans.

Hey @luke_antonos! Currently, we don't provide a way to schedule emails but that's certainly a great feature. We'll consider this in our product roadmap. If you have any other feature ideas like this one, please let me know!
