Hi everyone! I’m the CEO and co-founder of Campsite. We have a stellar team with experience building products for people and teams at Meta, Instagram, and GitHub.
For almost a year, we’ve been building like mad to make Campsite the best place for designers to give & receive feedback, keep others in the loop, and create an archive of progress.
We’re stoked to ship and announce many new features this week.
🆓 Free for teams — We believe that Campsite helps the most when the whole team shares regularly. Starting today, Campsite can be used for free. You can make unlimited posts, create projects, use the Desktop app + Figma plugin, and tons more for free.

The team will be hanging around in the comments. We would love to hear your feedback and answer any questions!
@youtube_ we built a very similar tool internally at GitHub back in 2019, which itself was inspired by some of the internal tools we had on the design team at Facebook.
Co-founder with @brian_lovin and CTO of Campsite here! I'm incredibly proud of all the work we've done so far this year. There are SO MANY things we want to build on Campsite. We'd love your feedback about Campsite: first impressions, features, experience, anything! I'll be hanging out in the comments + Twitter all week in case there's anything I can help answer.
Love using Campsite to see what folks are up to. The team is a powerhouse. Every design team should be using Campsite to show off their work and get feedback.
Designers always lacked robust tooling "around" the design process, like engineers have with GitHub. I like the idea and team behind Campsite so much, I invested in it. Congrats on the launch to the fantastic PH community!
Our designer @danielbeere started sharing updates in Campsite and it has been the perfect place for us to get updates on how different design experiments are moving forward.
Campsite feels like the right balance between long form and short form collaboration (Slack). The way we've approached using it is as a replacement of Basecamp discussions.
Love seeing how it's evolving over time too!
My team has been using Campsite for the last 6 months and we love it.
For us we needed a central place to share designs and gather and store feedback. Our biggest problem before Campsite was having feedback scattered in different places - slack messages, google docs, etc. As the sole designer at my org I was constantly getting asked "where did you share that [insert project] designs? I can't find it in Slack". Now they just know it's in Campsite.
Campsite has become the place that I request async feedback from internal stakeholders.
In addition to all of that, it's a beautifully designed product (which makes sense since it was founded by a designer). Design founders FTW!
Cheers and congrats on your launch.
Everything @brian_lovin and the Campsite team is doing is top notch 👏 Not just the product execution but also the larger vision for how design should function within an organization.
Congrats Campsite team! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Every inch of Campsite is thoughtfully crafted and the value it adds to design teams is substantial. Very excited to see Campsite continue to grow in the future!
So proud of what we’ve accomplished with this great team so far. It really is a great way to share in-progress work and getting the big picture of how a feature came to be and what decisions were made along the way. So much easier to go back and find that thing Brian worked on last week, instead of having to go through hundreds of messages to find a specific thread in various big chat apps like Slack and Teams. I’m so excited about the things we have planned!
We built a worse version of Campsite at GitHub internally with @brian_lovin (RIP Pixelcat), so I understand the deep need for this. I'm so excited that the team behind Campsite is taking this to the next level! 🚀
The attention to detail on Campsite from Brian and crew is 😮. To get a taste for it then check out how they use Campsite to build Campsite here: https://www.campsite.design/blog...
Question: We currently don't have a full-time designer on our team but we all do a little bit of design where needed. I'm considering Campsite anyway as a way to share what we're working on with screenshots and code snippets. Any tips for developers who do a bit of design (devigner?) on using Campsite?
@davej I would definitely recommend giving it a try! @brian_lovin is the only "designer" on our team of 5 (the rest of us mostly write code). We all still post regularly on Campsite with:
- Customer feedback and user research
- Announcing new features and ships
- Discussing product feedback
- Sharing inspiration we find
- File Linear/GitHub tasks from posts & comments

I tried out Campsite early in the process, @brian_lovin & team have done a tremendous job on the ux of the tool. I love the Slack integration and easy uploader. Also, the weekly summaries are nice.
