Calliope represents the simplest way to create audio mixes and memos collections. A project allows recording and importing audio segments that can be trimmed and merged in a few taps.
Hey there. Thanks for checking Calliope! The mission of this app is giving a streamlined and simple, but complete, process of audio creation. For free, to everybody.
Audio is establishing as a popular digital medium, and we want Calliope to be the tool to let any creators out there to get something easy to start with this.
Plus, one thing that differentiates the app is being eager to learn from its users: we developed a "Feedback" section to let anyone vote and propose new features, plus reporting eventual app's bugs.
*Product Development Plan update*
As you can see from the app, the "Feedback" section gives everybody the chance to contribute to the app development, by reporting issues or voting for a feature.
Well, the users have spoken: the next feature will introduce renaming to projects and segments. The goal is making it easier for creators to find older projects, recordings and imported files, to make the creation experience as fast as possible.
Thanks for your contributions and keep on going with feedback!
@sergiolarosa YouTubers also record with a microphone while shooting videos. I think it is an incredible niche to facilitate the work of people who record with a microphone while shooting video. I used to use this app when it came to Android. Not for podcasts, but for recording audio while shooting videos on YouTube. (lavalier microphone)
@pavlospap I suppose you already checked this but, in case someone else is wondering about the name, here what's on Wikipedia: "In Greek mythology, Calliope is the Muse who presides over eloquence and epic poetry; so called from the ecstatic harmony of her voice" :)
