Hi everyone,
Buildpad is our response to failed products.
It’s a platform where founders are guided by our AI through a 7 step process.
The process starts with identifying a real problem to solve. This is crucial if you want to build something that people will use and pay for.
Then it continues with defining a product, finding your target audience, verifying that they would actually pay for the product, setting up a business strategy, a brand, and finally building the product.
We launched the first version of Buildpad 7 months ago and have since then helped 8,000+ founders.
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and they have helped us make the platform even better.
So if you’re at the point of wanting to build a new product or perhaps rethink an old one, give Buildpad a try.
You can start with the first 2 phases completely free.

@davidheikka congrats on the launch. An interesting product for soon to be founders.
I feel like some people on Twitter like don't actually like to build things that people want...bit of an odd one but I think this would seriously help a lot of people get their priorities straight!
Big fan of the style & the design, it all looks very clean & straightforward!
Best of luck w/ the launch David & Felix!!

@cranqnow Thanks for the support, Sam!
@felixheikka Anytime Felix!

This looks very well thought out. There has been individuals/businesses consulting for this but productizing it, sounds great. I haven't really gotten through everything yet but looks very promising. How has been the response from other founders so far?
All the best for a great launch today! @davidheikka @felixheikka

@davidheikka @neelptl2602 Thank you, Neel! The response from founders using Buildpad has been great so far. We get a lot of feedback through email and I also get on interviews with our users almost every week where I get a deeper understanding of how Buildpad actually helps them. Most of them come from using ChatGPT and other LLMs to build their products, and they mention how Buildpad gives them the structure they've been looking for and actually guides them forward through the product-building journey. This is understandable since building with general LLMs is hard when you have to know what questions to ask and guide yourself forward through the difficult process that product building is.

I love the basic premise of finding a problem to solve, you definitely address a problem that every single entrepreneurial person has encountered hahah. I think you could build something really cool here long term, my main reservation right now is that I would personally be sceptical of working day and night on a problem that has only been validated with some web searches. I think if you could focus deeply on making the discovery process easier (more co-pilot than autonomous) and really helped me find and validate a good problem to solve, you would really have something! You could add the build and marketing phases later when you've nailed that. Btw are you nordic? Hit me up, I'd be happy to connect!
Buildpad
@sebastian_thunman Thank you for the detailed feedback, it's very helpful. The 4th phase is actually "verify demand" where the user will do a more thorough validation with the help of AI (in this phase it involves actually coming in contact with your target audience). I still think your observation is good and the next product moves for us will be improving the process of finding a real problem to solve - as you imply it's where we can really set ourselves apart.
Congrats on the Strawberry launch btw. If I'm not mistaken you're Swedish? I am too so would be great to connect.

Sounds like every solo founder’s dream! Love the structured approach—starting from problem validation all the way to building. Excited to see how Buildpad empowers more makers to launch with confidence. 🚀
Buildpad
@supa_l Yes! Solo founders and small teams are the absolute majority of our users.
Buildpad
@replibee Glad to hear it. I hope you like it!

@davidheikka What a great product! Finding a product-market fit and validating product ideas has always been a huge challenge for builders. I remember having to manually sift through Reddit, Google searches, and engage with dozens of communities just to gauge an idea's viability.
One idea I got from watching your demo is to offer a competitor analysis. This could be helpful for founders to find out how your product stacks up against similar ones, and think of any unique value you can offer.
Buildpad
@mordehaus Thanks! Yes, competitor analysis is a good idea and something we're planning to do. Might even create a whole phase around it because there's a lot of important information we can offer there.
does buildpad help you actually talk to users during the early phases?
Buildpad
@mahender_ram Yes, in the verify demand phase Buildpad will generate a research page for you, help you share it so you get responses, and then it will also see the responses coming in and analyze them for you. The goal is to give you full clarity on whether there is demand for you solution or not.
I tried your app and man, is amazing! the free phases are very well structured and give a perfect overview of the project and a self understanding of what is needed to build it, I will use it for sure!
also the chat is very well prompted and understand instantly what you type, very good job.
Will follow your journey. Keep Building!
Love,
Andrea.

@stivy_01 I love hearing that. Happy to have you on board and don't hesitate to let us know if you think there's anything we can improve.

This is such a thoughtful and grounded launch — love the approach you’re taking with Buildpad.
Too many founders get caught in the excitement of “building” before validating the core problem, and it’s refreshing to see a tool that starts with the hard questions. The structured 7-step process sounds like an excellent framework, especially for solo builders or early teams who need clarity and momentum.
Also, kudos on the traction so far — 8,000+ founders is no small feat! 🙌
Definitely bookmarking this for the next idea sprint — excited to see how Buildpad continues to evolve.

@williamrobertscott Thank you!
Love the platform Buildpad!
It's a great way to see if what you are building has a market or not and if users would pay for it.
Buildpad
@anisha_parikh That's great to hear!
As a Buildpad user, I am proud to have witnessed its growth since Reddit age. Keep up the good work!
Buildpad
@thefullstack Thank you Alex!
I have been using Buildpad for over 2 months to work on a personal project and it has been the perfect addition for my journey.
I was struggling to keep the momentum and before was on and off on it.
Buildpad helped me to structure my approach and not cut corner by validating each step before moving on. Thanks to that I was more consistent in my progress and therefore more motivated to continue.
Starting new project can be difficult as we can seek help for certain task but it is always good to be able to bounce idea or solution with someone.
Yes AI will not replace "yet" a proper brainstorm between people but Buildpad really help you to leave the blank page you can sometimes be stuck on. It provides guidance, advice and really helps you build faster with more confidence.
There is so much potential with this app, I am very excited what David and Felix will do next!
Buildpad
@nicolas_meriot Thank you for your kind words, Nicolas! We really appreciate it.
Often an AI has a tendency to just agree with you all the time, have you done anything to try and work around this?
Buildpad
@michael_jupp That's an important point, and something we're very conscious of as we develop Buildpad. There are steps in the Buildpad process where our AI searches through and analyzes discussions online. Here we have prompted the AI to be critical and objective with the data gathered. We also provide sources so users can independently verify the information.
In the fourth phase called "Verify demand", the user will also get help reaching out to real people to verify that demand exists for their specific solution, which helps as a "fail-safe" if the AI has been too positive.
Awesome launch... Keep going.

@shenjun Thanks!

Love the idea and it really solves a painful problem 🤝
Buildpad
@hussein_r Thanks!
Curious how Buildpad adapts across industries—does the AI tweak its guidance for, say, a fintech founder vs. a healthtech one? One-size-fits-all rarely works in product dev.
Buildpad
@shreyans_assistiv Good question! Our AI has a memory and learns about your project so the advice is always as personal as can be. We've also set up the phases with this in mind so 99% of products will fit (e.g. validating your idea is something everyone should do, no matter the industry).
