With Builder.io and Lovable, you can now turn Figma designs into functional full-stack applications that are pixel-perfect. Create everything from rapid prototypes to production-grade apps with custom backends from just designs and prompts.

Hi all! I'm Steve, co-founder and CEO of Builder.io We're excited to introduce Builder's new native integration with Lovable. With it, you can now turn Figma designs into real pixel perfect apps in Lovable.dev (AI full-stack engineer) Quick step-by-step tutorial: 1. Make a design in Figma 2. Open the Builder.io plugin, select your design, and click "Export to code" 3. Click "Open in Lovable" 4. Continue iterating in Lovable by making prompts We're excited to go deeper here soon too, enabling you to even update your designs in Figma again, and push your design changes to your Lovable app in just another click. Seamless iterative design and development ftw. See more about the launch in our full blog post: https://www.builder.io/blog/lova... Please try it out and let us know how it goes!

this sounds interesting @den_coj what do you say, can we use it for our designing team?

I mean who doesn't love Figma by itself...let alone with this slick integration between Lovable.dev & Builder.io? The perfect combination to make the perfect design?! Thanks for launching this Steve & Deb, seriously exciting indeed - Looking forward to seeing how the launch goes!!

OK, I have to try this. I was curious when somebody will make Figma -> code work, and at what quality...

Ability to turn figma designs into functional apps with just a few click and iterate further using prompts will greatly improves development workflow. Congrats on the launch.

Huge congrats to both teams at @Lovable and @Builder.io! A missing link is no longer missing.

Wow, just wow! I tried it internally with some of Lovable's designs in Figma and I could literally not see any differences between the implementation and designs. Great job! 👏

@steve_sewell Super cool! I tried it out and I am way impressed! Bravo! Having the design sync will be huge. I also see a big need to be able to design out multiple screens, and have them all connected to the same lovable project (like a multi-page website/app). Is there a way to do that I'm not aware of?

Sounds very intriguing! I'm going to try it right now. Is it also possible to do it for mobile apps?

@steve_sewell Looks awesome! I'm not able to get it to work though -- I keep seeing the error "Error: Failed to create Lovable token" in Figma

How much I wanted a proper tool to convert my designs to code. It's very useful if you are trying to fix those pesky layout issues and margins!

This reinforces my determination to master Figma in 2025.

Quick app development from design, this has the potential to completely alter my method of operation.

Will definitely give this a try! I've been using bolt.new a lot recently. @steve_sewell are you working on an integration with them as well?

@steve_sewell it's hard to decipher on y'all's site, but would this update also enable native mobile design + development? or are we constrained to only web experiences? thanks!

Great work! Works really well except for one major thing. Whenever I export a Figma layer to Lovable, it seems to open the layer in a new project. I want the layers to be exported to the same project, is there a way to do this @steve_sewell ?

Love how this flips the 'AI replaces designers' narrative on its head. You start with human creativity then let AI handle the rest.

NextJS template + cursor vs figma + builder.io + lovable.dev ... Which road to take 😅

I know how much hard work went into this from Lovable and Builder team. Super exciting, great job!

This has been great for me prototyping some app ideas! The native connection to Supabase is a huge plus for testing data flow into a warehouse. Keep up the great work!
