You don't need to be a coder to build software. Bubble is a visual programming tool that makes programming as easy as pointing and clicking. Instead of teaching code, we reinvent how we build software via a visual interface.

Users have used Bubble to get into YC or raise multi-million dollar rounds. Today, Bubble counts more than 175,000 users

What's new here in the 2.0 launch? Huge fan of Bubble, and would love to know what warranted a 2.0 being launched.

Hello everyone, it's great to be back on Product Hunt after all these years. Thanks @bentossell for the hunt!! We officially launched on PH in October 2015, and we're excited to be here again with new branding and a ton of new functionality. Here we are! While Bubble's vision, empowering everyone to build software, hasn't changed, it feels like we have totally different product. The platform is now mature and stable in production. A few of our users have been part of YC, and some others have raised millions. Some of the biggest additions have been: 1) Letting our users create, sell, and share plugins to add new abilities to Bubble. When we started Bubble, it was about us writing code so that others wouldn't have to. Now, everyone can join our mission of creating the world's greatest platform for code-free programming. Bubble plugins can be built either with code or without code, letting everyone participate in the visual programming revolution. 2) One-click API creation for any Bubble app. APIs make the internet a more open place. We're happy that Bubble users can now build and deploy powerful APIs as easily as they can build web pages. 3) Rapid app creation via templates. Users can now share and sell designs with each other to help kick start the creative process and launch gorgeous apps in minutes. 4) Dedicated hosting options for Bubble apps, helping our fastest growing customers scale on custom, global infrastructure.

@bentossell @estraschnov Where can I learn more about your addition #4?
Emmanuel Straschnov
@bentossell @howardkeziah Best is to email support@bubble.is or bubble.is/contact and we'll share more details about dedicated plans.

Bubble is absolutely awesome for getting a MVP of a product up an running in no time. Some of the concepts can be a bit tricky to get your head around at first but they are doing a better and better job with tutorials and documentation. There's also a super active and helpful community, so if you ever get stuck on something you're not far from an answer! Hoping for some more options around the look and feel of applications in the future as this is one area where things can get tricky.

Hands down, the best "Low-No-Code" Apps available today.

You can build almost anything you can imagine with it... and do so with remarkable speed.

Pros:

Very easy to use... Yes almost no limitations to what you can build.

Cons:

None yet...

Hands down... in an increasingly crowded space of "No or Low Code" tools... Bubble is the best. The team has fostered a community around the product, are actively improving the product daily and still find time to engage the community. Bubble woks well for many, many, use cases. If you are building any kind of Workflow, Productivity, Marketplace, Subscription, Mobile, you name it... you can build it in bubble. I can only think of apps like high fidelity, sprite heavy games that may not perform as well on bubble. When the team released the API connector and Plugins, they really increased the possibilities. Performance had also been greatly improved. This is a GREAT product and a very competent and responsive team! They are building a product that's demystifying coding for a lot of people.

@lekanb Thank you :)

I was involved with a business for a one year period that developed their entire platform on Bubble the results we less than acceptable on the final end product.

I would absolutely go old school hard code if i were to take this on again

Pros:

none

Cons:

You get what you pay for

Over the past few years Bubble has evolved from a hobbyist/tinkerer tool to an enterprise-ready product that replaces coding. We have clients who've raised $100M+ and use Bubble for majority of their tech stack. There are still missing pieces (like support for fully-native apps) but this is just the beginning of a movement that's going to do the same thing to software development costs as AWS did to server costs.

It looks awesome I'm impatient to try it congrats !

I| would really love to try Bubble for my next project. Is there any examples of things built over bubble?
Emmanuel Straschnov
@alexdeardream Yes, we showcase some at https://bubble.is/showcase, and then I would highly recommend asking on the forum for feedback on your idea and how possible it is on Bubble. Other users are much better than me to tell you this :p

I have first encountered Bubble almost 3 years ago when they just launched on Product Hunt. And Bubble has literally changed my life. Not only mine but of hundreds of thousands of people that all of a sudden got empowered to build products that they would never build otherwise. Bubble reduces the time and costs of creating web and mobile apps dramatically, revolutionizing the whole space of web development. It also enables totally non technical people to build beautiful and powerful apps without requiring developers. Yes, I can be called biased since together with my co-founder Vlad Larin we have founded a business building products on Bubble (https://zeroqode.com), but if this business strives and provides jobs to 25+ team members then it only proves the fact that Bubble is indeed a great platform.

Pros:

- fast and easy way to create web & mobile applications

- even non-technical people can build powerful and beautiful apps

Cons:

requires some efforts to learn but it's still waaaay faster and easier than learning to code

In 2013, I started using Bubble to build an online marketplace for my startup. I had no coding experience and no budget, and was able to build an app with user signups, crowdfunding functionality, and payment processing. Bubble was rough around the edges, but it had the signatures of a disruptive technology. Over the past 5 years, the platform has evolved in dramatic fashion, adding hundreds of features, a marketplace for plugins, support for responsive design, the ability to connect to virtually any API, and immense performance & scalability improvements. In 2015 I co-founded AirDev, the first Bubble development agency, to help organizations build great applications using this powerful technology. We have built hundreds of products for startups & enterprises without having coders on our team. Many of our clients imagine they will use Bubble for a simple prototype, and then get hooked on the speed and flexibility with which we can develop. The Bubble team is committed to the long-run, aiming to replace traditional code as the medium for helping anyone create & express on the web. I'm excited to see where this wild ride takes us!

Pros:

Full flexibility (design, database, workflows), Scalable software (not just for prototypes), Connect to anything (APIs & plugins)

Cons:

Easy to learn but hard to master, No coding needed but complex apps still require significant logic & design

Matt Bettiol

All in all an amazing tool. If you put the time in you can build something truly amazing.

Pros:

No coding required to build apps.

Simple and advanced features

Fully featured app builder using drag & drop

Cons:

Too many features can get overwhelming and users can get lost quickly

Thanks to the universe for Product Hunt notifications! I was waiting for templates, awesome 2.0! Any plans to allow integrations with zapier, intercom, drift, hotjar and heap? Love from Buenos Aires
Emmanuel Straschnov
@marsnegrette Yes, you can already do a lot of this, we have a Zapier plugin to trigger Zaps, you can add intercom to your app via another plugin, etc. And if something is missing, you can add it easily as a plugin as well. https://bubble.is/plugins

I have been developing web and mobile applications using bubble for over a year. I worked with my team and clients to implement their ideas and test it with competitive time and cost .

Pros:

Easy and fast to implement your ideas. and test it with low cost.

Cons:

Few advanced API limitations.

Limited storage services (AWS & BOX)

JJ Coleman
Been using Bubble for the past two years or so and what can I say, it's changed my life. I went from zero experience coding to building full scale applications such as https://ideazap.xyz. Their drag and click editor is quite easy to pick up on, enables endless design options, and comes with the added benefit of 3rd party plug-ins - allowing for even more robust functionality. Would really like to thank the Bubble team for allowing dreamers to stop dreaming and turn ideas into reality 🙌
Emmanuel Straschnov
@jjcoleman97 You're very welcome!!!
Vlad Larin

Next generation programming language. Period.

We at @Zeroqode believe that absolutely everyone should learn how to Bubble.

Pros:

Simple, intuitive and super powerful visual development framework

Cons:

None if you use it in the right way

Yessss I'm so excited to see this rebranding! Bubble is an amazing tool, however the old website and branding just didn't do it justice. Awesome job on this, excited to see it keep growing :D
