Bright is your super app for health. We bring together body recomposition programs, recovery/stress/exertion scores, journalling + meal logging, energy tracking, sleep tracking, heart monitoring, nutrient analysis and 100m nutrition profiles into one platform.
Hey all,
In April we reached #1 Product of the Day for our initial release of Bright with meal logging, sleep tracking, heart monitoring and nutrient analysis. That release sold over 2,000 Lifetime Access passes and helped us prepare Bright for our App Store release in July.
Today we're sharing the latest major update - unlocking the Insights tab. This brings Whoop-like functionality to all Bright users. Recovery, stress and exertion scores, alongside journalling and body recomposition programs to lose weight, gain muscle or maintain will all be available by the end of the month.
Our vision for Bright is to be the last health app you need. To reach this, we're steadily releasing parts of Bright to the general public to test our app on TestFlight. We're only going to release Bright on the App Store once we believe it's safe, reliable and accurate.
To help reach this stage, we're offering Lifetime Access to Bright for USD $67.99 or AUD $99.99. There are only a few limited spots so get in while you can.
Let me know if you have any questions,
Thanks :)
@bryan_jordan Hi Bryan and Bright Team,
I saw your update on Product Hunt and the addition of the Insights tab with recovery, stress, and exertion scores sounds like a significant step forward! The focus on Whoop-like functionality within a comprehensive health app is intriguing.
A couple of questions to understand your approach better:
- How does Bright integrate with other health and fitness trackers? What measures are in place to ensure the accuracy of data analysis and insights generation?
- Beyond initial body recomposition programs, are there plans to develop functionalities for personalized coaching and long-term goal setting within the app?
My background in full-stack development might be valuable for Bright's development in areas like:
- Exploring ways to further enhance data integration capabilities and refine algorithms for even more accurate and personalized insights.
- Developing functionalities for AI-powered coaching programs and personalized goal management tools to help users maintain long-term health improvement.
I'd love to learn more about Bright's roadmap and how my skills can contribute to making it the go-to comprehensive health and wellness app.
Congratulations on the progress and the upcoming App Store release!
Best regards,
Max
@bryan_jordan@max_savonin1 Hey Max! Happy to answer these!
Bright integrates with other health apps through APIs or data streamed through Apple's HealthKit. We're currently working on gaining compliance certifications so that any data imported into Bright is safe and protected. We built our data analysis practices and compared them to current existing health apps for accuracy, and look to enhance this with publicly available literature.
In the following weeks, we plan on developing actionable notifications on Bright that will serve to enhance a user's health journey. This will be improved over time as we look to consult with professionals in the field and validated by our community!
Thank you for your support!
@bryan_jordan I've been looking for exactly this app. I'm not buying an iPhone to try it. Hope you still offer the lifetime promotion when you launch Android.
@chrismessina Thanks for asking! Bright allows users to natively log their meals from a database of 100 million nutrition items. Coupling this with insights like you see on Whoop and Garmin, Bright brings together all relevant health data to create the full picture of a user's health.
Hey Bryan, congrats on the update! The addition of the Insights tab sounds like a great feature for health tracking. How do you ensure the accuracy of recovery, stress, and exertion scores? Also, are there any plans to integrate with other health devices or apps in the future?
@kyrylosilin thanks for the message! We're spending the next few weeks cross-checking our scores against other apps, using the literature available to guide us to write the correct algorithms and speaking with experts to help finalise the results.
We currently integrate with Apple Health but plan to directly integrate with Whoop, Garmin, Oura in the coming weeks + allow users to upload data from other apps like MyFitnessPal etc.
Longer term it would be awesome if you could have group/family accounts. It would be great to see if the kids are active enough or if the team actually put the runs over the summer.
It looks awesome! I am also creating a health product and it seems to me that it would also be very useful for your product to collect data from wearable devices, such as watches and fitness trackers.
Congratulations on the launch of Bright on Product Hunt! It's amazing to see a super app for health that combines so many essential features into one platform. The body recomposition programs, recovery scores, meal logging, and more make it a comprehensive tool for overall well-being. Excited to see how Bright will revolutionize the health and fitness space!
Very interesting pricing model. Love how you are rewarding early access folks (unlike many game developers who charge EA folks the same!). Such a lovely interface, will definitely check it out! Is there a way to test out the app first before you buy it?
Congrats on the big launch @bryan_jordan and team!
Congrats on the amazing progress with Bright! Reaching #1 Product of the Day and selling over 2,000 Lifetime Access passes is impressive. The new Insights tab sounds fantastic. Can't wait for the App Store release!
How do the recovery, stress, and exertion scores work?
Keep it up 🥳
