@max_savonin1 very good ideas. Summarization quality and coverage are the top priorities we're working on for this product. Although we have been working on it for the past 8 months, there are still improvements to be made such as better support for longer content, and better summarization accuracy. What's in our backlog so far is: customized level of detail, universal search across the knowledge base, stability of comprehensive coverage for super-long content, etc. Happy to talk more about how we can do this better. Thanks for sharing your feedback. :)

@nicoleastor it's already on mobile - check out our website :)

@cox looks pretty good. Where is the product going in the future? There are a few in this space and I wonder what the next step is for these to figure out which one is going to come out on top. More thoughts here
Cox Zhang
@frank_denbow thank you for sharing our product in your video!

Launching soon!
@cox congrats on the launch! like most LLM products I have the same question - how does this differentiate from a carefully prompted GPT? I've found 4o to be pretty powerful.

Hi Cox, Briefy 2.0 sounds incredible! The ability to summarize any type of content and manage it in a knowledge base is a game-changer. How has user feedback influenced the new features in this update?
Andreas Sohns
The new features are awesome. I love the different summary views and how it can handle various content types.

Hey Cox! I didn't know I needed until you launched. thanks for bringing Briefy to help every maker as me who needs summarize and manage an incredible amount of data. All the best here my friend!
Anthony Latona
Nice! Looks like a well integrated AI summarizer. The mindmap feature looks interesting too! Congrats on the launch!
Simon Sovič
Great idea! Have you found any difference in marketing and positioning Briefy as an AI tool vs just a "normal" productivity SAAS?
Tony Han
Very cool tool, I like how easily you can interact content on the page. I did try Briefy on your landing page and PH product page, and looks like they won't work. What type of websites are supported currently? Does it support content within other mobile apps? Congrats @cox and team!!
Cox Zhang
@tonyhanded hi Tony, which websites did you try to use Briefy? It is supposed to work on all web pages with long content, YouTube videos, email threads, and PDF files. Please let us know how we can reproduce the issue. Currently, it's technically hard to directly capture content within other Apps on mobile. In the future, we plan to support sharing from other Apps to Briefy.
Tony Han
@cox - I was testing it on your landing page (briefly.ai) and this product hunt page here (https://www.producthunt.com/post...). That makes sense.

As a developer myself, I often read many documents. Briefy's summarizer feature is already very useful for long content. With this update, I now have the ability to save all my important document pages in one place. This is really helpful as my single source of truth. We've put a lot of effort into making this possible, and I hope you all like it!
Derek
Smart summaries is the way to go! πŸ“– πŸͺ„ Congrats on the launch πŸ‘πŸ» The team should do a team retreat in Tahoe so we can hang out. πŸ˜„
Manan Gupta
Congratulations @cox , looks like an interesting tool. I want my knowledge assistant to capture everything i'm seeing on my screen and then it can remind me about what i saw in the past. So my knowledge keeps compunding. Possible to do that?
Clayton Walker
Congrats on the launch! I have a question on the video summarization, does it only work with videos that have an attached transcript file? Or does it work with any video and. create a transcript itself? I would get tremendous use out of it if it worked with videos that didn’t have a transcript already. My current workflow for that is to transcribe it myself and then take it in to an LLM to summarize. This sounds like it could do a much better job than my quick work around.

That's a pretty good personal use of AI to gain more out of the information we get bombarded by every day. Nice
Yernar Akim
it's like talking to the authors of papers/studies/articles/essays/etc. Imagine talking to Einstein or Dostoevsky - think this is where we are heading. Keep building team and hope we get there.
Ryan Zhang
Congrates!! Briefy turning complex information into my knowledge wiki, so all those dusty folders can go straight to the trash.

Launching soon!
Congrats!. I have come across many products like Briefy, what makes you stand out the most?
Abby
Wow, I think that's quite helpful when I need to read long industry articles. Many of them contains useless words and that's time-consuming. I would try it if that's not so expensive.
Luna Rao
Congrats Cox and team! love the knowledge base - really gonna be a killer feature :) can't wait to have this as my personal knowledge management hub!
Wilson Ler
Very cool! I really like the ease of use made possible with the accompanying chrome extension. This will make a really good companion while browsing the web. We're building something similar but more towards the knowledge base / knowledge vault side. Hmu if you would like to exchange some ideas and insights!

Briefly seems an interesting product that can turn complex information into clear structured summaries and organize them into an easily accessible knowledge base. Highly recommendedπŸ‘
