Hey Product Hunt people!
Since COVID started we've been moving toward a remote only world at a pace never seen in history. There have been lots of tools to help us replace our face-to-face interactions, but one that has fallen short has been large events. Since moving to a presentation style online event the meetup that I run has gotten less engagement from our viewers and usual attendees. It also doesn't help the presenters react to the audience! So I built Boost.
Boost is an extremely simple application that helps bring more engagement to live events. Boost adds:
😂 Emoji reactions
💬 Q&A
🗣Discussions
With only a couple of clicks you will have the ability to create a deeper, more human level of interaction between your presenters and audience members. Hope this is useful for everyone! Would love any and all feedback you have on Boost!
Boost was also part of a project to integrate simple one-click login into a Next.js application! So this project is entirely open-source and built with some amazing modern technologies! You can check out an article written on how we built some parts of Boost as well as a video walking through some of our development.
We are hoping this app can be a starting place for many other great community building applications, so feel free to click the deploy button below and clone this application for yourself!

Did not manage to test it : they use "magic link" to signin, but the validation mail validity is too short (10min), and arrive after expiration due to it's poor antispam score (message got greylisted I assume). Kind of a #fail :-(
The whole is supposed to be easier to signup compared to other sites, but in fact, it generated more hassle that a single "signup now, validate later" scheme.
@werner_klinger that is great feedback!
Thank you for trying! I will chat with the great folks over at https://magic.link to see if they are aware and hopefully get this fixed!
@zealigan Hi Eric, on your side, you could consider allowing "legacy" signin : being fully dependent from a third party, especially for onboarding, seems dangerous for a business
