Hello Product Hunt,
I built Blaze because I wanted an easier and seamless way to share files between my laptop and mobile without signing up for any service π
It uses a direct device to device (peer-to-peer) connection to share files across supported devices and networks. Since it's a web app, you don't have to install any app on your device to share files β‘
I have been constantly working and learning by building this product. Since I started working on it, I have open-sourced this project so that anyone can leave feedback and contribute features β€οΈ
As a fellow web developer, let me suggest considering Go language as an alternative to what you are using now, and there are plenty like Resilio Sync, Syncthing, etc.
Beside, there will be general performance improvement coming in 1.14 that you could develop more than what you could do.
@zer00 I can understand that it may not be working to its fullest due to the server load. I am currently the only person working on it hence it will take time to further improve it.
Across device sharing could be valuable. What is the file limit? Filewhopper can handle any size but it works with PCs only. If there would be an option ta transfer 10-20GB it would be great.
@bogdan_kozlovskyi Both are quite similar, but rooms in Blaze would allow one device to share files with multiple devices at once (experimental feature right now)
