Thank you @tyler_denk , made my morning. Great job 👏👏👏
Last summer I began curating a playlist of my ideal work music—chill enough to be background music but upbeat enough to keep me energized and focused. Thus, the birth of Big Desk Energy.
After a few thousand followers on Spotify, I snagged the domain for a rainy day in case I ever decided to make something of it.
Then COVID/quarantine hit as that rainy day and I started building this as a little side project to keep me sane on the weekends. I like to think this is what poolside FM would be like if it came in from the beach, showered, put on a suit, and went to sit in a cubicle for the next 40 years.
Anyway it’s still in the early stages, so let me know what you’d like to see added.
Don’t be shy and follow the playlist…and if you’re interested in merch that instantly makes you the most attractive person in the room, all proceeds go to supporting your favorite music curator 🤙🏾
Wow @tyler_denk , this is awesome! Take my upvote!
Now to press F11 for full immersion. Plus it will be a cool prank to say you installed Windows xp on your friends computer.
Desktop: Works fantastically! :D
Mobile: The "CD Player" that I accidentally closed still played music that when I opened it again and the music was overlapping each other. Haven't tried the pong yet. I looked for the minimize button, but this was the only application that didn't have one. Why's that?
Still love it. Awesome Playlist.
I do have a question. So if I leaves notes there who will be able to read them?
@jessehojjensen the CD player bug on mobile is interesting ... I'll look into it.
more of a nuance / technical reason as to why you can't minimize the CD player ... similarly why you can resize most windows but some you can't. 🤷🏽♂️
@rrhoover I am deep in the weeds of random spotify playlists and recommendations while I work all day... and their algorithm has my taste down to where I'm getting unknown artists with the perfect vibe so it's a self fulfilling prophecy at this point haha
Love this! I'm a huge fan of PoolsideFM but kind of wished there was something out there that's not 90's themed (for variety). I appreciate this a lot 👌
i'd use this every day if i could import my own spotify playlists! also, social media icons on the desktop would be a nice touch i.e. using instagram accounts in windows 95 aesthetic
