BeerMe is a community payments platform that makes money fun and personal. Send gifts globally on any platform where you stay connected. Collect and exchange curated items with your friends.
Hi Product Hunt!
I’m Noah, co-founder of BeerMe.
My co-founder @gray_newfield and I created BeerMe after our teams went fully remote last year. We realized how much we missed simple gestures like bringing a coworker an extra coffee to the office or grabbing a beer after work—actions that build relationships in ways that Zoom calls can’t.
As life goes on—graduating school, moving to a new city, starting a new job, or getting married—many relationships naturally shift online. BeerMe makes it easier to nurture those connections by letting you exchange thoughtful items that don’t feel transactional. For example, buying your friend a beer token on their birthday feels much more personal than sending $8 on a traditional payments app.
To celebrate our launch, we’re offering a free beer (8 USDC) to the first 50 users who sign up with their phone number, and a Founder Mode token (1 USDC) to everyone else who joins.
We’d love to hear your thoughts or answer any questions! Feel free to reach out to me directly at Noah@BeerMe.World
@alexanderfarr Thanks! We currently offer 30 tokens. Some of our most popular are coffees($5) Happy Birthdays 🎂 ($10) and Drive To Me tokens ($10). You can scroll through them all on the site!
@ihuzaifashoukat Thank you! I really love our feature for sending gifts via links. Most payments apps make you transact within their app, but our shareable links let you send money in the same place where you maintain relationships with your friends.
i really like your take on this! so if understand correcetly, you can send money that is the actual product on site? so theres no "money" transaction but more a "gift" transasction? this in Europe would be amazing for tax problems
@rupgo Hi! Yes, the product on the site is for sending money. You can send the tokens on the site in the context of a gift, or other contexts as well. From talking to our users, gifts seem to be the most popular use case thus far.
i just signed up! loved the UI/UX so simple and direct! how can I ask to others or even on my page to send me a beer? I see how to send money, but i dont see how to ask and get a link or embed code so people can find my wallet and send me beers
@rupgo Thank you! We don't have a request feature yet, but we're working on it. Other users won't send the beers directly to your wallet. When you go to send a token, a shareable link is generated that you can send on any messaging platform, so they could text or DM you the beer, and by opening the link and clicking "Claim" it would be sent to your wallet.
BeerMe sounds like a fun and unique way to send thoughtful gifts, especially for building connections remotely. How does the app handle currency conversion for global transactions? Does it support multiple cryptocurrencies or just USDC?
