@maxmusing Congrats Max! Just a quick question. Would I be able to change live database entries with my business team without screwing up the whole prod system with you guys?
@gordi_braun yes! We specifically designed the tool with business users in mind. You have full control over what parts of your database are accessible to different users through Apps. We also abstract away most of the technical database details, so it's just like using a well-designed CRM.
I mentioned a solution for internal apps a couple of weeks back on my live stream The Weekly SaaS Hunt. I love the fact that we got options on the market and we're reaching a state where you don't waste time on internal scripting. 👏👏
My suggestion, if you don't already have this: Blueprints/Templates > Have one-click deploy apps where entry level folk can just change a few config fields for data location and tables to pull from etc, but everything else is packaged. That as well as a large tutorial set, youtube series on how to create X app.
@florin_biro Thanks for the suggestion! We have talked a lot internally about prebuilt apps or templates so that teams can get started a lot more quickly. Hopefully it's something we're able to build in the future.
I wish I would have had Basedash at a previous company. I spent months as a PM building out internal tools. Well done!
Basedash is a great product for anyone looking to quickly ship internal apps. The interface is beautiful and easy to use, and the CRUD functionality is top-notch. The real-time collaboration is also a great feature, and the fact that it takes just 5 minutes to set up is a huge plus. Congrats ?makers !

Basedash was already super useful but this new release makes it so much more powerful. Can't wait to play around with Actions, seems very cleanly executed as well.

@ksaitor Thanks! We're not planning to add a native MongoDB integration in the near future, but we're working on supporting arbitrary APIs as data sources. That would let you pull data from MongoDB databases into our layouts and trigger actions on your records.

This is interesting! One of the best parts of Basedash is how fast it is to spin up a bunch of support processes and tools that I could share with my team, but it came at the expense of being unable to handle complex operations. This new update gives you the near-instant speed of implementation of Basedash, but now it can handle every operation possible by allowing you to delegate some actions to an external API. That's a big update.
Great product which solves needs for all, especially start-ups. Congrats on the launch!

@vindeepjr_chaudhari we do too! It's amazing how frequently we need to add our own internal workflows to keep up with an ever changing product. I can't imagine working without it, though we're admittedly pretty biased 😆
